Center was always going to be a more questionable position for them. Gourde could very well be their #1 center.
I'm not sure what they could offer Buffalo for Eichel considering Buffalo wants top futures. Seattle doesn't have those yet, but who knows what kind multi-team trade could be arranged.
Right now, Gourde and McCann are arguably their best centers. - Rinosaur
Also can’t forget that Vegas went into the season with two guys that no one saw as top 6 players as their top two centers. This was probably to be expected. Will Seattle strike gold like Vegas did? Who knows. |

Come on dude, Metallica isn't death metal.
Love them though, more so the earlier stuff. - MattStrat
I seen Metallica live at the Roanoke civic center in 2003 with Godsmack being the opener.
It was so (frank)ing hot in that poop hole they were giving out giant warm cups of water so people didn't keel over. I couldn't hear right for a couple of days.
Absolutely fantastic.

Yeah, I was thinking earlier that McCann could pull a Karlsson.
Who they flank these guys with could make all the difference. Getting someone like Landeskog could go a long way.

So Hex cleared over $6mm in cap space without taking anything back and picked up a solid prospect. If Hallander can play in the NHL then even better.
He can still move Pets for something since they are heavy on LD. |

Its pretty crazy that even with Teddy's new contract he and ZAR are still a lesser cap hit than Tanev haha. |

I definitely want him to move either Petterson or Matheson at this point. Maybe Zucker but that seems like a lot of moving parts at that point and would leave almost no room for error in free agency, which as we all know is fickle.
I thought McCann was part of the solution and Tanev was further down the list of mid tier contracts I wouldn’t to turn into cap space, but now that these moves are made, I want Hextall to go all in on cap space and go hard in free agency. I feel like we’re in striking distance of Taylor Hall at this point if negotiations with Boston break down and we can move one more contract. |

McCann isnt that guy though. Karlsson was kind of buried and just didnt get a chance. McCann has not only had chances, but he has played on really good lines. He had a really good year but I think what he did this year is his ceiling. Not a bad thing considering he had a really nice year but he isn't going to have any kind of breakout. |

Seravalli reported earlier that the B's and Hall are most likely going to agree to a 6 mill per for 4 years deal after this freeze. He seems pretty on with everything else he's reported. |

It makes sense. It seems like Hall pretty much orchestrated going to Boston the second he signed with Buff and that’s where he wants to be.
Regardless, doesn’t have to be Hall. We could be serious players for some of these bigger names with the cap space we’re clearing for the first time in ages. |

Saw Metallica/ Guns N Roses in 93 at Giant Stadium, was great except for Axl Walking off stage half way through the set after getting hit in the head with a light stick! LOL... Duff sang the rest of the set, was still good. |

Yeah I do find this sudden cap space exciting haha...could be even more room made in the next few days as well. I mean, if Petts or Zuck go we're looking at like 10/11 mill in cap space...nuts |

With the centers pretty old now I think they need top 6 support. You could have Zucker on the 3rd line now and bring in a stud F. I think Pets will be traded. |

That's how I feel. I would have expanded McCann's role to start the season.
Tanev was in that middle case scenario for me. It does clear some cap, but his wasn't one of the contracts I most wanted to dump. Going to be hard watching Sully pretend he can just use Lafferty there.
This Hall dream of yours just refuses to die lol. |

I went to see G n R in Montreal 4 summers ago and they f'n rocked it. While Axl's voice isnt what it was I was impressed...maybe because I was expecting to be bad haha

McCann this year and Karlsson first year in Vegas’ 5v5 rate and relative stats are eerily similar. McCann was 24, Bill was 25. You’re right, McCann isn’t that guy because he just had his break out season before expansion, so we should have known better. |

Totally guessed on certain salaries, i.e. Dunn, Oleksiak and Dreidger, but if this is close then without DET and CHI picks, they have about $22M free. They can potentially add some dangerous players.

McCann in his chances as top 6 winger looked fantastic to my eyes when it would happen. He really did, whether it was Sid or Geno, it looked good. Not sure why Sully didnt keep it longer. |

SAw them in 2016 at Metlife, I agree... although when Axl Played with AC/DC he sounded amazing. Why cant he sound that good in GNR LOL... Metallica's first 6 albums are amazing (Led Zeppelinesque) ( I include Garage Days Revisisted even though it only had 5 songs) |

If we are looking for a streaky, soft winger who is fast and can score some goals, I would not at all be surprised to see us make a move for Kessel. Don't laugh but put him out there with Blueger and ZAR and you might have another HBK style line. |

Not sure, but I'm going to blindly guess he's a prospect that got exposed that they decided to take instead of a roster player since they don't have any prospects and have to draft too many roster players. - Tojo.
Francis just hates Philly like the rest of us. No favours. |

They are going to trade Giordano too most likely... that is a ton of cap space to work with but they have a lot of holes in that lineup. Very smart by Francis. Now he is going to grab some free agents but I also think he will pick up a poopload of picks by being a cap retention conduit.
A Tarasenko trade will likely run through them and probably some other smaller rental deals at the deadline to pick up some extra picks. |
