Devils trade for Taransenko and he goes on LTIR before the season starts seems more likely. But yeah.... |

Based on the Kraken's leaked lineup they passed on a lot of potentially good young talent, then drafted a bunch of vets with contracts expiring in the next couple of seasons. Thing is, I don't know if their roster is bad enough to just full tank. Maybe there are some big trades in the works to have this all make more sense. |

They got Butcher though. Watch him put up 20 goals. Really wish they took Johnsson instead. |

Hopefully we get a lot of side deals tonight to make it exciting, because theres no other reason to watch since the entire roster is already known |

yeah, why suffer through this boring coverage when I could just suffer through the Yankees game. |

Its so bad lol. I guess no trades? Maybe they're waiting until the end, idk. I dont fully remember the Vegas expansion, but i think they announced the trades during that draft. I'm not 100% sure though |

Am I crazy to think that Seattle really screwed up their expansion too? They are really valuing being close to the floor to be able to make deals...? I just feel like they could have been close to the floor and taken a lot of solid RFAs that would be under team control that just need some more ice time to break out. Seems like they are going with Vets with deals that are expiring soon and then garbage not under contract that they can just let go and not use roster spots on. |

Yeah im not a fan of what they're doing here, I feel they really left much better talent on the table. I guess it'll all make sense after all of the side deals come out, but as of right now there are a bunch of head-scratching picks for sure.
I actually dont mind their D but they're incredibly thin up front imo |

But 37 year old Giordano over 24 year old Kylington? Drafting guys who are going to be UFAs anyway? Just seems really like a really weird strategy especially for guys who are good complimentary pieces but not centerpieces to build around. |

Yeah it doesnt make sense to me, but Larsson, Dunn, Soucy, Lauzon, and Fleury is a solid base. I'm skeptical on Gio and Oleksiak but its not terrible. |

Oleksiak for 4.6x5 just seems bad to me. Larsson, Dunn and Soucy I like. Lauzon and Fluery I'm not sold on but they are young at least. I'm just confused because there were vets out there available but cheaper and then they could add some more talent up front. These rumored trades we're hearing about better be something. |

Lauzon is very good, he was hands down the 2nd best Bruins D after McAvoy this season, and can still improve and get better. Bruins fans are legitimately pissed that he wasnt protected. I also still think Seattle is where Dougie ends up.
Their D will be decent and their goaltending has a lot of potential. I just dont think their offense will score enough to contend for a playoff spot |

I don't think Lauzon is bad, just only one season under his belt on a good Bruins team. Will be interested to see how he goes from here (and it's not like there was much to pick from them anyway). Just thinking in general terms about how they've been handling this expansion. |

Holy poop espn is horrible. They've gotten multiple postitions wrong when introducing players and used highlight clips of the wrong player |

Wow, apparently Seattle has made ZERO trades prior to the expansion draft... |

their grit/60 is going to be the highest in the league next year at least! |

Here's what Vegas did on Expansion Draft day:
6th from BUF
Reilly Smith for a 4th from FLA
5th from CAR
Gusev, 2nd, 4th from TBL
1st, 2nd to take Grabovski from NYI
Shea Theodore from ANA
Tuch from MIN
1st, 2nd to take Clarkson from CBJ
1st, 3rd for 1st from WPG
2nd from PIT
Vegas did all of that. And Seattle didnt make a single move. Oof, they've lost any and all leverage they had |

why make trades when you can willingly take Branden Tanev and sign pending free agent Jamie Oleksiak to a huge deal. |

A lot of experts said it would be this way. They said gm’s would be better prepared this time. |
