I disagree. I think something did happen. It is more of a question of are the Blackhawks liable. We can’t always assume accusations are a money grab. - NamedSource
so if that's the case, and if the "internal investigation" finds that the guys in the room were warned, do you fire Bowman and whomever else is still employed who was in the discussion? |

Agreed. Sage gets way to much crap that others seem to get away with. Don’t like his posts. Don’t respond - NamedSource
IMO that's fair....but he also doesn't engage with those who try to be civil with him either....so the victim card is valid when you only get in heated exchanges when name calling comes out.
if you want to pick and choose your battles that;s fine, but if you pick them against the extreme counter side then its fair game...otherwise, to your point, don't engage...... |

The likelihood is that there's poop flying on both sides of this case. Almost always is. - mohel
I agree with that, and I also agree there is a 0.1% chance we ever get to read the testimony and/or results of the "internal investigation"....something she has pressed the Hawks for and why she won't let her client participate.
Again, who the hell knows........not me....not me. |

That’s not an easy question. They did let Aldrich go shortly thereafter. I don’t know what else they could’ve done. If they persuaded the plaintiff to not call the police and everyone in the room felt that was the correct course of action then yes....everyone should be fired |
|

Due to the comments on the Aldrich / John Doe(s) case(s) (which are tangentially hockey related) and the various other non-hockey issues on this blog I will continue reading Theo but stop reading any comments. The comments are either too imbecilic, prejudicial, political or are based on rumor or accusations and not based on fact.
Maybe I will read Kraken comments.
Take care. |

I 100% agree it's not an easy question and thats why the whole pitch fork mentality that I see in these mentions on twitter when these updates come out....I just shake my head.
If they settle, and that's a BIG IF, then to your original point something did happen..going to be fascinating to see what comes out of it. Again, huge IF. |

99%+ chance it is a share of the proceeds. She is absolutely trying to force a settlement, which she will get if she survives the motions to dismiss. It is unlikely that we will see any testimony. - mohel
I am not sure about a settlement. It would have been in the Hawks' best PR interest to get this out of the news cycles, imo.
Or they believe they have the grounds to dismiss. Which it seems to me they do based on the 10 year statue. But I am sure it is more complicated than that. |

That is not true. He has conversed in a civil manner until he gets called out.
It becomes an issue when he calls people out for their hypocrisy. |

Good one. That's one of the best movies ever made. Where does it hurt? There are so many small funny parts in it like when she hits him in the face with the mirror either just before that scene. |

Right, like how he's always accused of having an agenda? So he calls someone out and everybody comes to the other person's aid? Why? Because they share the same beliefs is my guess |

Throw in a "back" and he's Seabrook. - rpeters01
Totally. Poor Seabs. He gave it all and then was wrongly criticized for being out of shape when he couldn't skate any more. |

And that’s the big problem isn’t it? People can no longer sit and discuss politics. Each side talks and the other side chooses not to listen. And that’s why politics are probably best not brought up here. |

THIS.....moving forward anyone can female dog at me if I touch the subject. Need to police ourselves here so we don't drive off people wanting to talk hockey on a hockey board....who knew. |

Nope, just the person who set the policy. Possibly the mental health coach, if accusations are true about him (he has professional responsibilities, in addition). |

Says the person who has probably never spent a moment in a bad neighborhood. More importantly hasn’t lived on the west coast. Unless of course someone taking a dump on your doorstep is perfectly fine with you or homeless encamping the beaches.
Allowing bad people to do bad things and not prosecuting them is downright disgraceful and illegal. - Diamondhands
Ok I’ll say it- that was one of the dumbest posts I have ever read. And I live in LA,have lived in sh!t neighborhoods in New York and LA, have never been robbed, never had a gun or knife pulled on me, never felt threatened (and I rode the bus for the first 10 years I was in LA and was working in South Central). The homeless situation here is dire, but it is all over the US including in rural America (Google rural homelessness and see, and how it’s also linked to the opioid epidemic in rural America) it’s just not as noticeable there as in big cities due to density and other factors that we could debate till the end of time but this is a hockey blog.

Agreed the vast majority are homeless because of addiction or mental health issues

Oh interesting...guess I wrongly assumed that if there was an alleged rape (as is detailed in the amended complaint) that would have been in the initial filing. |

I (and I'm sure he) will always wonder if his career, and level of performance, would have been extended if he'd gone in for the repairs earlier. Feel for the guy. |
