Kopi will still take the big minutes but he is a nice relief valve. Should help right off the bat and be a quality add for 3 or 4 yrs for sure.

My initial reaction was/is overpaid. But maybe not. I'm confused, are the Kings making the playoffs this year? They seem to be pretty well stocked with prospects. Thought Danault would have signed with a contender. Cause the Kings aren't that. Maybe a playoff team in 2-3 years?

Kings are going for playoffs now. Its the management and players goal.

If they were in any other division then no. However, in the Pacific they're essentially competing with Vancouver for 3rd place. With the additions the Kings made this summer, I think they have a 50/50 shot to make it this year.

I think the pacific is ripe for alot of change this yr.I'm realistic tho,is my team a cup contender? Nope,is my team a playoff team?Very possibly,we added danault,arvidsson,edler and with all our prospects about to start beating down the door,and if vilardi,iaffallo,kempe can all take a small step forward in their progression and everyone stays healthy I think we have a shot at a spot.

Sorry to poke holes in your theory,been a loyal kings fan since about the age of 5 or 6 when I learned a close family friend was drafted in the 1970 supplemental draft.(he never made it) but you can check it out if you'd like his his name is Brian chinnick.so been a fan for a long time.
