Yzerman briefly mentioned in that video that they are looking at 1 or 2 other possible signings. I haven’t seen any specifics yet on who.

He’ll be 31 at the end of that deal. Could possibly get him as a vet? We’ll be a much better team by then

I dunno about Werensky....I'd say that in 6 years, we'd be in pretty good shape and have our issues addressed. MAYBE bring him in as a vet, but to what end? Lots to consider, but I think the old way of doing business is just that: Old.

Whitko, Murray, & Renouf were definitely AHL depth moves. IF Whitko is needed, he provides Lil Bert-like grit and protection similar to Smith. Nice move, good term, nice to have it if you need it. I always liked the guy because you could ask him to ram his head through a brick wall....and he would. Total heart and soul kinda guy, leaves it on the ice every night, dedicated to his teammates and club. My Dad would say "He's the kinda guy I want with me in a bar-fight. But I wouldn't want him against me."...my Dad's 6'4' & 280lbs so for him to say he wouldn't want to face someone is kinda spooky.

Maybe another move on the horizon. Listening to The Captain, doesn't give any indication of whom he's targeting, I'd say someone like Ricthie, but who knows. Watch, "Eichel to the Wings for a 7th, and season tickets for '21 to the Lion's games". DONE DEAL. Dude can pull of some SICK moves...Ned knocked the socks off of everyone. There were a few moves (MAF to Chi-Town?!?!?!) that were just incredible. Who knows. Still waiting.....

40 GP in the NHL, -14, 7pts, 53% FOW.....Much better numbers with the Crunch. 24 years old.....I'd say probably an AHL move. Be interesting to watch, though.

I don't like that. Both Veleno and Ras need to be centering lines. We know Veleno won't be given a spot obviously by Stevie's recent comments nor should he. But the way Joe looked at the end of last season, small sample size. Joe could find himself up and down the Wings lineup. I'm sure Joe's putting the work in this off-season. I'm excited for this Wings team to get going....

Hey all, sorry for the absence this morning. It really sounds like Stephens will be the 4th line center. Veleno, if/when he makes the jump, may well be on the wing. Berggren is better at the center position at this point. JV, throughout last year, kept getting moved back to wing. They also probably want Veleno grabbing top 6 minutes. So, if he can’t grab that in Detroit, probably will be skating in GR.

He’s working hard, for sure, but he needs a lot of reps up the middle still.

Those are guesses. If Ryan gets re signed, probably on 3rd line. Move Smith down and scratch Nielsen. If Veleno or Berggren grab a job, get the Yatzi cups out
