Probably not, no. I wouldn't consider LA or ANA close on Eichel considering neither is open to trading Byfield or Zegras.
Now Minny...they have a real shot.

I have faith in Murray … we’ll overpay some scrub on both term & money that no one else was even remotely interested in … |

Minny was in it but they now say they are out. Sabres still want too much and not allowing anyone to see his medical records.

With the Ducks doing basically nothing this summer, still early but most big pieces are gone, I find the Shattenkirk deal last summer odd. That deal felt like a team on the verge but still not there but they got one of the pieces to start contending soon. Now this summer so far nothing? I can’t see why a team like the Ducks would wait around to see if Eichel is healthy and if is worth giving away what they want. I thought the Kings and Ducks were about equal on their path to being playoff teams again, but this summer makes me think Ducks management knows their still not even close. Again, still time, but it’s most likely going to have to be a big trade. |

Ben, I don't know if you've paid much attention in the past regarding Anaheim but, basically, Barstool Bob doesn't do free agency. That's why the Shattenkirk signing last year was such a surprise to long-time Ducks fans. I agree with your reaction, though. I don't think it's a bad thing. Let the kids play! There are a lot of players who played the whole season on the Gulls that I would like to see in Anaheim this year. |

Kinda glad the ducks have had a quiet offseason, I don't think there were any FA's that would've made a big difference. Would've liked to see Hakanpaa come back, but happy he got a 3 year deal, which is more than I would've given him. |

Would you do Comtois and another player, plus next years first, or Drysdale and next years first (unprotected) for Eichel?
Edit: Zegras is excluded and in the Comtois deal, 2022 can be protected if top 5?
Edit 2: sorry I must be drunk. Comtois, player, unprotected 2022 1st or Drysdale and protected 22 1st? Protected goes to unprotected 23
Edit 3: No Drysdale in the Edit 2 Comtois deal
I figure this might be more appealing than the other "Zegras + Drysdale + 3 firsts" deals that get tossed around by some Sabres fans. Not saying I'd do this but I am curious to know if you would. |

Gibson for Jack -
You need an excellent goalie so your kids don’t get discouraged.. Power & Dahlin get to play in front of real goalie - you save 3.5 mil a yr -
We get a top center -
Both are signed for about same term -
