Stevens vs Lindros started in '95 and that continued until Stevens turned him into Timmmmmmay

Gottal keep that head up when crossing the blue line w/ Stevens on the ice! Lindros was so dam big...and I remember thinking he always seemed to have his head down when he had the puck.

He did. He was always bigger than anyone he played against so he never had to worry about hits to the head... NHL is a different story so he developed way too bad of a habit

I never could stand Stevens. In that day, the hits were clean by definition, but I never could respect that with every hit he was trying to injure the other player. Hockey is a game of respect, you don't have to finish every single one of your checks to do an effective job at defending. I know throughout that time period, there were several really big hitters in the league. I just don't remember any doing so with the vindictiveness Stevens had

I still think the Kariya hit was the worst. He hit him like an hour and a half after he got rid of the puck

And he didn't want to fight guys either unless he knew he could take 'em. If the opponent was a "tough guy", Stevens would just skate away.
He was a great defenseman WITHOUT the headhunting, he just seemingly enjoyed it!

It feels too quiet. Idk just waiting for something to happen. No way this is our final opening day roster going into next season.

Sorry it’s so long lol I needed to get this off my chest haha

I don’t understand how anyone can have issue with Reaves trade/signing. Is it the money? Are you kidding me? Two years under 2 mill is a drop in the bucket, so who cares. Is it the extra year? Again, are you serious? Personally, if he was around for 5 years I wouldn’t be mad lol. So what exactly is the issue with him? Is it because he’s black? Seriously what is it? Don’t say the money or extra year because you’re just wrong about that

Here’s some facts for the idiots out there:

(in the room)...EVERY TEAMMATE if they’ve been asked the question, how is Reaves as a teammate/in the room? To a man, they all say he is fantastic. A vital cog in said room it sounds like

(In the community)...Vegas people/fans have said he’s terrific there aswell. Imagine him with Hockey in Harlem? Or Garden of Dreams? Not many care about that, but you know what..kids do. Parents do. That is a factor we really have no idea what the benefits are unless you’re in those programs

(On the ice)...where do I start? He, and players like him, are imperative on a STARFILLED-YOUNG-SKILL FIRST-SMALLER team. If you don’t know that, you truly are stupid - moronic - clueless. They all apply. Just think back we didn’t have that for (frank)s sake? No more body slams of Panarin. Or cheap shots on our kids (much less likely anyway). We were the talk of the league how little pushback we had. Now we have an intimidation factor that wasn’t there. Opponents now have to respect our whole roster.

Lastly, energy. Imagine actually having a player, or two or three, like we have now..including Reaves that provide the Garden with energy!! Oh what a novel concept to have the fans engaged the garden sucks quite frankly. It has for awhile. Now with all the hitting they’ll be doing, the garden will no longer sound like a library most of the time. Exhibit A- the Islanders. That line changes games with hitting. Changes momentum. It’ll be (frank)ing lovely to have that in in our favor again
——-
This is more or less directed at two people. One is obvious (Brukie), the other is Jan. Jan can you provide us with anything positive this off season? You clearly don’t like the Reaves addition, hated the Buch trade (it wasn’t great, but not nearly as bad as people make it to be) and have more or less slapped Drury every chance you’ve had so far. It’s mind boggling to me as they are now a primed and ready PLAYOFF team (by that I mean roster wise). The NHL better look out for the NY Rangers

Anyway, as you always say, “that’s how I feel” and hopefully you accept this criticism well, and who knows, maybe I’ve changed your mind🤷🏻‍♂️

When reaching this page's point, I initially questioned myself as to whether or not I had made that above 8:50pm comment, (as per some well known reason); until reading part of its contents to also realize I wasn't hacked either.

Admit it "tj" that you weren't banned for 6 days, but instead required 6 days of time to prepare that lengthy post of your's.

Now you just have to await for the reply of "aecliptic," which I will make instead for him due to being able to read his mind wherever he may currently be:
"So to make things short there, "tj," you both love and feel that the Rangers acquisition & in turn, 1 year extension of Reaves was a great move by Drury."

Next awaits e-chief's reply to it when posting the complete words in the Bible per your 8:50 pm comment.

I see not one thing negative about getting Reaves. Not one. At most he plays 7 minutes a game? Oh the horror! No idea why this addition caused such a stir. Just sitting on the bench he is worth the money/contract imo. Intimidation is a very necessary aspect of a hockey team

Completely agree with you and 2Sticks. Had no respect for Stevens then and that hasn't changed at all. Always had that intent to knock the player into next week, which he could have done without the borderline hits.
That said, Puddinghead needed to keep his head up. Learned that bad habit as a kid and never unlearned it.

I have no problem with the Reaves signing. But if you think that if Reaves was on the team last year that wouldn’t of happened your are wrong. Wilson snaps and does poop without thinking all the time. He can’t control himself , if he could the suspension would of work. It’s just now someone will pay for his acts. He doesn’t even care if his teammates pay for his stupidity like they did last year, he’s on f’d up guy
