Fitz just keeps nailing it. Nice move for sure, short term. If he does nothing else, let's just hope Ruff can pull this new squad together.
Does bring an early smile to my face for the season for sure. |

Imagine we flip Johnsson and a 2nd for Tarasenko - RubberBiscuitz
Honestly depending on the price i wouldnt be totally against still continuing to try to get him. As each day passes and other teams continue to add to their roster/cap hit, the price is likely getting lower. I dont agree with Ek saying this signing takes us out of Senko because we can still add his full cap hit without much worry going forward since 9M from Subban comes off the books next season and the 12M combined between Tatar/Tarasenko would come off the books the following season.
If i was Fitz i would stay in the mix, but I still wouldnt pay more than one of Boqvist/Johnsson and a pick. Hold firm on whatever the offer was that he had out there, the Blues need to cave and move him eventually. But either way im very happy with the work he has done, if he stays pat and we head into the season with our current roster im totally fine/thrilled with it |

I'm not happy with letting ryan murray go, who will play on our second line left hand side |

He was never coming back. He made it pretty obvious in his exit interview that he had zero interest in staying |

Man, Fitzy continues to impress. I like that we got Tatar, I love that we got him for two years, and I’d like to think we’re still in on VT, now from a much stronger position to negotiate. Even if not though, the positive changes just keep coming. |

The guy that was 1st pair left side last year that should’ve been 2nd but since we had no depth he was 1st... Mr. Smith.
Graves-Hamilton
Smith-Severson
Siegenthaler-Subban
Most likely pairings. Maybe they get juggled around but these are the starting 6.

I’m liking this lineup. Excited for something to root for this season, besides a high draft pick. Fitz has really impressed me. Feels like we’re finally getting back on track. Can’t wait for the season to start. Game on! |

Foote wont be on fourth line. Rather him play top line in ahl. Fourth line will be a combo of wood mcleod thompson studenic and greer |

Eh. I think it’s average. Smith is 2nd year, and both he and Severson aren’t spectacular. Siegenthaler is decent but still developing and Subban is on his way out. So. But Hamilton is great and Graves is solid. |

Yeah it should be middle of the pack, but has the potential to be top 10. Its only projections but there are sites who have projected player ratings/rankings and they have the Graves/Hamilton pairing ranked as a top 5 first D pairing in the entire league.
We already saw Smith and Sevo be one of the best pairings in the league last season before Smith got hurt, and hopefully with them facing lesser competition they can be just as good or even better.
Subban being the 3rd pair is huge. His splits last season between facing good and not so good competition was pretty large, so he should be able to feast on the lower competition playing on the 3rd pairing. I'd say they're in the 11-15 range in the league |

So..
Zacha-Hischier-Bratt
Tatar-Hughes-Sharangovich
Wood-McLeod-Kuokkanen
Johnsson-Boqvist-Studenic/Thompson/Greer
If we did somehow still get Tarasenko, .. the lines really would just depend on chemistry I think. But obviously Kuokkanen would be the 4th line RW, unless Johnsson went back in the deal and he went to left side. He’d obviously make us better if healthy. Couldn’t care less about losing Johnsson because it keeps it so we still have enough open spots for a kid to get a shot on the 4th line or whatever. I think it’s best for Bratt’s development to be with Hischier and best for Sharangovich to play with a talented center.. because he wont find that in the bottom 6. So maybe it’s best to leave the wingers as is. |
