I guess he now needs a rest at the beginning of the season as well!

Indeed poor timing... and this franchise sadly has a poor younger history of dealing with nagging injuries.

Almost as bad as the planning Biden pulled off to get out of Afganistan. Did they know the regular season starts in a month DUH

With both Sid and Geno out just maybe the plan is to tank this season and try to get the number one overall pick next year I hear the draft is very deep. Is there another Cros or Malk available The devious plan is now in play. Bring on the conspiracy theories. I can't wait

I’m sure the decision was to go about this conservatively and opt for surgery only as a last resort. It doesn’t sound like a long term recovery - might miss a couple of weeks.

Sounds like a return in late October. That's probably best case. Not crippling, but not much room for error this season.

The whole time, he saved up enough tears for you to use as lube to jerk off to him

I know you are being facetious but yes there is another potential generational talent this year and next.

This is why I suggested that the Pens will be spectators for the playoffs this year. Their stars are aging and they have very little depth behind them(especially after losing McCann and Tanev in the off season). This group has their 3 Cups and that's all folks!

I mean look, it's probably only about two weeks of the beginning of the season without both Sid and Geno. It's not like the Pens are playing any good teams to start. It's not like they're playing Tampa twice, Florida or Toronto. Oh wait...

The Philly guys have a strange humor... Flyers have gone 16,844 days since winning their last Stanley Cup. The Tampa Bay Lightning have existed for 10,501 days and have won 3...

I'll take our winning history, never tanking to get a top player, never having to be financially bailed out and on the brink changing cities any day of the week my friend. Top 3 all time in win percentage and that's counting Vegas's short tenure.

This might be the dumbest thing I have ever read. Championships are the most important thing in sports. Something tells me if you asked Lindros he would have given up all of his awards (in all levels of hockey that he played) and wins for one cup. Of course I guess when you are use to not winning you have to hang your hat on regular season statistics, so yea you do do

Winning history?
2 cups in 55 years is phenomenal.
Enjoy your 3rd best winning record of all time…it amounted to?
