Devil's need a pure goal scorer and sniper both on the PP and 5v5 as I think it would do wonders for Hughes to have someone being able to put the puck in the net, devil's have playmakers but no one who really finishes

Problem is the devil's wouldn't really have anyone to stick up for their teammates in a fight other than graves and I guess you can include McLeod

Bad optics. You don't sign a UFA and trade him before the season. And waiving Quick doesn't really do anything. He's not going to play in Rochester. And if he gets picked up, now you're under the floor again.

I don't see how it's short sighted. They want UPL here. That's a fact. They signed Anderson to mentor him. That's a fact. Bringing Quick here flies in the face of what their stated plan is.

LA would need a backup goalie. If Anderson agrees to go to LA, it opens up a scenario to take Quick back. OR. Have a three way trade with Quick included to bring back an an expensive skater.

I just don't see a likely scenario that has Quick and Anderson as the full time starters, or UPL and Quick as the fulltime starters.

It's going to be really weird seeing someone else wear #30.
