Seems like everyone is on hiatus after the long summer with little news.

I cannot wait for this hockey season to get into full swing and we can really start to see how this team shapes up.

His skill set is obvious but he was one of the tiniest players I’ve ever seen in the league. I think for that reason he starts in Hartford to bulk up, but to your point, if he has a lights out camp there’s no reason he shouldn’t play over Nemeth. Kid needs like 20 pounds though.

Also regarding 4th line, I know Rooney and Barron are the leading candidates, but Justin Richards is primed for that role one day. 2 time defensive forward of the year in college, 100% focused on playing a shutdown type of game. Will be interested to hear how his camp goes after missing last years with COVID.

Great call on Richards. Have him as a sleeper as well. Missed all of last year when he had a shot in camp to earn a role. Think he may end up a Gallant fave

Who else did you want besides Eichel? I could have seen a third liner maybe, but Chytil will get a chance and Barron might be a factor down the road

I think they want to see how the current roster works with the new coaching staff and system. There may be more, or less players they feel they need to change after the first month or two

I think Boychuk going on LTIR sets the Islanders ok, but they will be pretty strapped all season
