Honestly not a particularly great list outside of the obvious. Each team should have at least one guy between talent and opportunity and you have more than a few long shots that really shouldn't be on a preseason list.

Seider is a 2-way guy who won't get PP time or put up big points on a team that will miss the playoffs. Guys like that won't get many votes.

If a guy like Holloway makes the team and gets a top 6 spot he could be a dark horse. A better chance than a bunch of other guys on this list.

Byfield is going to play the season in the AHL. He's not going to be a Calder candidate this season.
