Can't read it - it's protected. Would be interested in the text, since data from around the world has been that hospitalizations for kids has been tremendously low, since kids thankfully do not experience heavy symptoms in general after infection.
Are kids in the US and Canada wearing masks to school? - MaximusAurelius
Kids in our area wear masks to school....
If they want to play organized sports, 12 and up, they MUST get the Vax shots.. Unless you have a Drs. Medical certificate. From Sport Nova Scotia. As of last night.
11 yr old kids are given 3 months past their birthdays to get their shots. |

I just got a memo from work this am that we demanding vaccination as of yet, but if a client has that policy we will adhere to it.
Staff is tripping balls because "fully vaccinated" in the memo is defined as both shots + 14 days after last one. So if you don't have it and a site has that policy, you're sitting at home for at least 6 weeks.
Love it or hate it, you should probably just acknowledge that this is the future now and be prepared. 🤷🏻♂️ |

They should expect it. A company can have an open policy all it wants, but if it deals with clients or customers, then adherence to their policies would be normal practice.
You know . . . not entirely unlike how a synagogue probably doesn't require the services of a pork butcher. The pork butcher doesn't get all uppity about it. |

Different from province to province, and I assume state to state as well.
In Alberta it's been left up to the school boards. Public here has kids following mask protocols, catholic said go hard because God will save them from the virus.
I had read at one point Florida was making it illegal for school boards to have a masking policy with the threat of being defunded should they not comply, so there's that. 🤷🏻♂️ - joel878
As much as I hate it for my kid (and children in general) -- it makes a lot of sense to have mandatory masks at school. Much much more than mandatory vaccinations.
For starters -- need at least 18month trial data (including follow up) for kids before making these vaccines available to 12-16y old. Giving new vaccines (in particular those needing novel platforms) to children and adolescents based on 2-6month data is crazy and never seen in a formerly heavily regulated industry.. |

Having been the most fervent defender of vaccines, and being very pro-vaccine, I am very surprised I a now finding myself on the conservative side of this vaccine discussion.
Mandatory covid vaccinations for the last 20-30% of (adult) populations will not have a net positive effect - it will only negatively affect voluntary vaccination rates.
In addition, there is a need to use current doses for countries that have not yet reached the 60%+ coverage rates -- instead of for low risk groups or for 3rd doses..
Wearing mask, keeping distance and washing your hands are the best tools we have to prevent transmission -- and unfortunately not a lot of focus on those. |

I had my last one June 20th, I'm positive it almost killed me but they got me with the ol Pfizer to Moderna bait and switch. Never been so sick but back to normal after 36 hours or so.
And I wanted to be in front of it for exactly that (on top of the obvious reasons), I want to get back to travelling.
It was an easy assumption every country I want to go to was going to use this as their safety net. |

Alberta still has a number of regions that need 65%+ of the population vaccinated.
There's no doubt it aids in slowing the spread, fully vaccinated individual spreading for a few days as opposed to unvaccinated spreading for a few weeks. But masks, hand washing, distancing all still critical, and when our government is happy to ignore that common sense in super spreader schools I don't see how we can even get close to the part where vaccines are important. |

It's crazy how protocols have changed - I mean, we are only facing the worst global health crisis in a century, but yeah, rules are rules! |
