I don't mind if he gets traded if the deal makes sense, but it might not be the smartest move considering they could potentially get a lot more in return if he had a really good start to the season and they traded him at the deadline.

also, a part of me wants him to stay, so that he actually scores some goals and makes you eat crow (you're a little too obsessed with the column thing lol)

I don't care if he scores or not, I just care that he puts in effort every game and is productive - whether back-checking, getting assists or goals.

The whole "right column" thing pissed me off because it seemed to me he just did not get why people were frustrated with him... lazy play and turnovers vs effort and consistency.

yeah, I get it. even with his production Pacioretty was hated by a lot of fans because of the way he played and the vibe he gave off. being captain didn't help him with this either I guess lol...

anyways if he does stay I'm sure Drouin knows what the (frank) he has to do to shut up his critics. if he doesn't, that'll really suck for the habs because then he won't be as tradeable, so they'll either be stuck with him or get a rather poor return.
