Coop deserves all the credit (which he rarely gets, IMHO) for taking the high flying scoring machine President's Cup Champs who lost to CBJ (I won't use that word) and turning them into more of a gritty defensive team that won two Cups.

I think he kept a high flying scoring machine, and Vasi came into his own as the best goalie in the league. Been living in Tampa for 10 years, watching all of the Lightning's playoff games, while they have some smothering performances, this team goes as far as Kuch/Point/Stamkos/Vasi take them (which is often the case for SC Champs).

Wow, the Cup hangover is real!! I expect them to sober up by Thursday with Detroit!
