My god the media is a bunch of morons. A couple of marginal wins against two teams that weren’t in the playoffs last year and they are talking like this team has turned some corner and is cup bound.

I think Koski should play 2/3 of the games this week since it's unlikely he will play in either game next week.

Didn't Vegas just lose to a team that wasn't in the playoffs last year?

Yes. What’s your point? Ottawa is 2-1 so far. It’s early.

It’s two games into the season and Edmonton’s MSM are declaring the end to the oilers troubles and have them winning it all…
It all still rests on Smith playing lights out.

Just pointing out your tendency to move the bar when it comes to your own team. Also while I don't agree with many of them I don't see any Oilers MSM really claiming they will win it all.

Oh come on now. You know that me saying “ they’re all saying the oilers will win it all” is a bit of hyperbole. But Leavins, Jones, Spector, Tychkowski and more are all going on like most of the “problems” are “fixed”. I see a team almost the exact same as last season. Relying on a few players to play out of this world.

Oiler's MSM has always towed the pro-team line. Could be worse though, could be Toronto MSM. I just hope Smith stays healthy, and the offense keeps firing all year.

Listening to Cassie Campbell swoon over Keith is also quite nauseating. I just don't think he has added much, if anything, so far. I actually don't mind Ceci so far though.

Keith and Ceci are going to kill the Oilers chances at winning anything this season. Adding Hyman is fine, if you not expecting him to get 30 goals and 60 points. Especially if he's going to play with Nuge and Yammer. The top 9 may be better than last year with the addition of Hyman, Foegele and Ryan, but not enough to make up for a weaker defense. Without the PP firing on all cylinders and the goalies stopping 30+ shots, this team will still struggle to win games.

Anyone else notice how many of the old oil fans no longer have the oilers as their fav team??

(frank)ing morons running the show are pushing fans away faster than JP can down a slice of pizza.
