Zac Jones for Smith seems like a good deal. Jones just will never have a consistent chance to get called up and/or play. And for this I blame Drury []

Edit: Meh. Just looked, and Smith is a rental probably. Don’t think it would even cost them Jones

Its a wonderful deal for both teams, Just what Vegas needs

Nothing about the 3rd period where they righted the ship and played close to the vest like a good team can do on the road in a tough environment Jan? Typical

Negativity Jan is now you’re new name. NJ it is

Thats not a good deal at all. Matter of fact, VGK should be paying us to take Smith’s contract off their hands to make space for the Eichel trade theyre trying to make.

It should be Smith and a 1st for Zac Jones. Sure its overpay but if they want Eichel, make it worth our while.

Well yea I looked and edited it lol I thought he was cheaper and had 2 years not one.

And Brukie thinks it a bad trade for Vegas so what do I know lmao 😂

Smith is a dime a dozen guy, but is a Gallant guy

All Smith provides is a fringe top 6 guy who knows Gallants system and staff.

I think a veteran line of Panarin, Strome, Smith could work.

NYR didn't play bad at all...Many here seem to forget that NYR is playing another team, who has a lot to say how the game goes. In this case Tor...which is a top tier team. Faceoffs continue to be a problem, and need to be improved.

It’s only FOUR games………4 last year they get slapped in last nights game.let’s try and give them 20 games and see where their at.geez you all sound like flyer fans 500 posts after they lose the first game of the season!

Yea. Beating the faceoff dead horse for years now lol. Last night was the worst night I can remember. That’s why the PP was so bad last night. You have to get control of the puck before anything positive can happen

You’re 100% correct. Trona would get bunches of chances vs any team on the league. But it’s only us that sucks haha

I wanted this team to make a move for Dvorak, who was over 70% on faceoffs vs us.

Any center in the league looks at the Rangers like fantasy team managers look at matchups vs dead teams. A game to pad up those FO numbers.

The thing that was infuriating about that game was, for all of the good chances the Rangers created, the puck was rolling off of their sticks all night. Despite scoring the first goal, Zibanejad had that problem, and despite scoring the winner, Panarin has been plagued by it in every game so far. Presumably, they'll knock off the early season rust and they'll be alright.

To be fair, the team is 100% at faceoffs in practice. It's just that other team that is the problem

I think Panarin needs strome. For the first time ever I’ve said that. Mtl game he was invisible, but def not worried about him whatsoever over 82 games.

The top 6 isn’t very imposing right now because two of them are out. Once healthy they’ll get on a roll.

The fact is they’ve won 2 in a row in extremely tough environments, but Buch is in StLouis and Drury ruined Kravtsov and that’s all people care about

Theyve always had a weird problem with puck control and zone entry.

I think it's fine to call it as you see it. If not for Igor the Rangers lose the game 7-1 last night. Doesn't mean you can't be happy with the win but the over the top hate for them or the over the top positive for them can both be annoying lol

It really isn’t about being positive or negative..but perhaps Jan could’ve included something like this (minus the Brukie part lol):

Maybe I’m the Brukie idk lol but isn’t it a good sign to get 4 pts (out of 4) in two extremely tough Canadian environments, with a fairly depleted lineup? One week into the season no less

A Quinn team, without the vets and character we have now, fold like a cheap suit last night. That’s just a fact. They’re learning to win. With it you get games you have no business winning. Exhibit A, last night

Btw my head still hurts from it hitting the ceiling when Panarin scored last night haha

Yea like I said its good we got the wins, end of the year we won't remember how we played this game just that we got the points. But I think this team still has a long way to go and desperately needs a top 6 upgrade via trade if they want to be playoff contenders this year.

I get it but two guys in the top 6 are out right now lol that is a factor
