"7. Sam Bennett has nine goals and nine assists in his first 13 games with the Panthers. What’s that say about the Calgary Flames organization?"
As a fan who couldn't help but see the "wish I was anywhere else but here" expression (ie total disinterest in his surroundings, teammates, game, etc.) which was his permanent "game face" for at least 3 years I'm truly surprised Treliving didn't give him his wish long ago. I'm happy for him just like I'm happy for Adam Fox.
But I'm even happier for the Flames. There was obviously cancer in the room for several years. The changes in coaches proved it. Bennett may not have been the only problem but the Flames certainly looks like a different team this year without him.
Coleman is the only significant change in the lineup. My money would be on Coleman every single time before I put my faith in Bennett.
He's obviously a skilled player; too bad he didn't have the character to be upfront with the Flames from the getgo.
