Great blog Trevor.

I like how you are trying to be friendly with other fanbases. This one should get some visits from our friends in Toronto. :thumbs-up:

Second periods need to be worked on. Besides that, we are seeing Sutter-style hockey. Hope they can keep rolling on this road trip.

Edit: Besides JG getting 500 and Lindy with the hatrick good for Vladar for getting his first win, and a little revenge from the team that lit him up last year.

Thanks Trevor
That 4th line sucked a$$ today! Poor effort by all 3.

Move Coleman up with Dube and Mang, Ritchie needs to move down. After playing what I thought was an excellent game vs Detroit, he looked less interested.

I like Chucky but man sometimes he makes a bone headed pass in our zone. You can tell he realizes it with his effort the next shift.

Kylington needs to stay in the lineup, but replacing Valimaki with Zadorov would make an interesting 3rd pair. I be more inclined to sit a forward and play 7 d if that's Sutters intention.

I really like the chemistry Dube and Mangiapani are building, both playing with speed. Dube almost winning the game in the 3rd

Johnny gets his 500th point as a Flame but he looked more like Johnny Hotdog then Johnny Hockey on that short handed goal. I'm sure his dad will have words fo him at supper tonight.

Keep up the good word Trevor, I also like the subtle jabs at the other teams fan base.

Got to see Johnny get his 500th point live and in-person. Saw his old man, mom, wife, and family too. Was going to talk to them but decided to respect their privacy.

The Flames haven’t scored a hat trick on the Capitals since Tom Lysiak did it in 1987.

Flames fans haven't seen a great game followed immediately by a great .....by any blog since ......well... since forever!

TBH, it was a terrible drop pass from Ras. He had a split second to do something with the speeding forechecker coming at him, and it's only going to be a 50/50 chance of it making it out of the zone.

The PP looks useless again. Thought they might stop using the bump back, but we saw the result today. Not like it's a surprise to anyone.

They’re leaving Monahan in NY and bringing Kratzov + back.

Thanks man, felt good to beat Washington.

What is going on with your Pens? The only other thing you need to happen is have your goalie injured so you can sign the Zamboni driver.

Even the most right-wing of Flames fans won't own up to that train wreck.

Everyone should be entitled to their own beliefs and opinions. Unless you disagree with CGYflames13's beliefs or opinions apparently. At least according to him.

I see... I was asking because he's been very active recently in the main thread and sometimes in the habs thread as well, and reading his posts I was wondering if it's just a troll account... I have a very hard time believing that someone could legitimately think and act in such a way. anyway, as long as all Flames fans aren't exactly like this lol...

Far from a Flames fan. But even they don't deserve the blame for him.

With respect (and I seriously mean this) what about the other id1ots who've posted sh!t on that thread? It has nothing to do with a city or country. It has to do with a mindset and they're everywhere. Let's talk hockey and if some moron wants to shoot off his/her face about sh1t then let's ignore it.
Feeding the trolls is a waste of your allotment of life.
And as far as the self-styled "Commmissioner's" blogs are concerned he's the biggest troll on this site. But the bloggers and the vast majority of comments are great. Especially (imo) Karen, Carol, Sean and our very own Trevor.
I enjoy lurking in your blog and trying to understand what you all are talking about (and picking up some new patois.) But if it's not hockey, I'm gone.
Please visit us sometime. But let's agree to stick to hockey. Salut mon ami!
(PS. The newbie you asked about rarely - if ever - has contributed anything about hockey on this thread.)

oh well that's cool, don't be shy to say hello once in a while. and "hockey only", duly noted.

btw I wasn't thinking this must be a Calgary thing or whatever, as you mention there are plenty of very special folks to go around in that thread, it just so happened that his comments were among those that I found the most baffling.

edit: oh right, I can see why you were thinking this with my "as long as all Flames fans aren't exactly like this" comment, that was just tongue-in-cheek, I kinda figured it wasn't the case

Just checked Ek’s thread for a few of his posts. Wow. He’s a real piece of work. He doesn’t post in the Flames threads.

Calgary and Edmonton have a few nuts, but we’re mostly good people. Every city seems to be like that.

He says he’s from Hardisty. Which makes total sense. There is a pocket of kkk types in the Hardisty/Provost area.

Great read, I agree with the points. I'm actually starting to lose sight on this so called potential Valimaki has. Yes he is young but not that young where these inconsistencies happen on the daily. His decision making is absolutely horrible both with the penalties and the pizzas thrown right up the middle.

I'm seeing why Sutter benched him so much last year
