I believe the math folks call it "regression to the mean"? The team isn't very good. The winning streak will likely be an outlier when viewed at the end of the season. The team doesn't win close games. Good teams win close games. They hold leads. This team doesn't. It is mentality.
I hope Todd switches Kempe with AA, and gets that AI/Danault/Kempe line back together. Not that it will matter but it might be something to build on going into next year. People talk about "building culture" and that sounds trite and corporate-speak, but those 3 actual give that phrase some meaning. I think Kempe has turned a corner. He goes on some adventures, but I have never seen him play with such confidence. I believe Kempe will make for a very strong middle 6 winger on a Stanley Cup team, just not the Kings.
This team is going to finish near the bottom of a weak division. Since we are heading that way anyway, I hope the team doesn't rush Doughty, and it gives the kids more time with character guys like Moore and Lemieux. Again: mentality. If the Kings are going to lose, let the kids take their lumps next to guys who are fighting to stay in the league.
On a positive note, Brown was dropped from the first line so I hope this is the first in a series of steps that sees him in the press box every other game. Thank you for your service.
Apologies for an inconsistent post. Seems apropos on a Kings' board. The losing is starting to get to me. Boo f8cking hoo.

I'm not here to say that the Kings are a world-beating team, but TM should've let Arvi continue to sit until the point streak came to an end. Why tinker with the lineup?
Also, Matt Roy needs to be taken off the PP1 like yesterday. I know he's trying his hardest, but it just isn't good enough. Put Clague there, put Toby there, FFS put old head there! Anyone but Roy!! I dont get why the staff continue to try and stuff a square peg in a round hole??!! Hoping other teams will pick him up at the deadline? he's a 5-7 dman at best. |

They did, but St. Louis wouldn't accept the 2nd round pick they were offering in exchange for him at 50% retention. |

They just called up Durzi from Ontario, and he is expected to make his NHL debut on Wednesday against Toronto. Considering the PP is the strength of his game, I would expect he will get significant time with the man advantage. |

Watching the Kings and Leafs, LA has to get rid of the silver helmets! Distracting and obnoxious kind of like the California governor. |
