"I really don't know what the right thing is. At the end of the day, I think — and now I'm getting political — but at the end of the day our players are testing positive with very little symptoms, if any symptoms at all."
"I don’t see it as a threat to their health at this point. I think you might take it a step further and question why are we even testing, for guys that have no symptoms," Yzerman said during his media availability Saturday.
He is a true leader!

Hey Jeremy, it’s great to see you make a comeback. Hope you and yours have a blessed Christmas. I got a kick out of Gwillems and miss his posts. Someone on another board said he got banned but I don’t really know.
Regarding Boeser, I don’t think he’s going anywhere soon now that he’s been revitalized under Boudreau. But if Vancouver falls off then I could see him moved with his value up.

But the Nucks got the Boudreau bump and may be singing "Gloria" all the way to the SCF |

Just when I thought my respect for Yzerman couldn't be greater, he takes it to another level. A great leader and truly a great man. I only wish he was leading something more than just our hockey team. |

I'm beginning to wonder how much longer we'll keep quarantining the healthy to protect the venerable. In the US, over 50% of Covid deaths are from people in nursing homes, 20% are from people that were receiving hospice care. In some countries, those two combined hits 90%. Wouldn't it be easier, and less economically destructive to recommend mitigation measures for the people most likely to be hospitalized or die from a virus, rather than those who likely wouldn't be affected? We know exactly who is at risk, and it's not world class athletes or young people. The current plan is not sustainable. So many industries are on life support as it is, and the data is showing how much our children are being affected, the increase in suicides from pre-Covid numbers far exceeds Covid deaths for children.
The vaccine clearly isn't working, but governments keep doubling down on the exact mitigation methods that haven't worked at all over the past 18 months. |

Yeah, the game today had already been rescheduled because of COL. Only really missing one extra game at this point. Break is 24-26. |

Bless you for that. Yeah, Boeser is one that if they get that trade wrong, you’ll never live it down. G has been banned a few times in the past, not sure what the situation is. That dude used to make me laugh out loud. So many of you do. Much love, and merry Christmas brother |

Well put. But you have too much common sense for any of the decision makers to do any of that.

You know, like O'bummer Care. You look at it from that perspective and it makes perfect sense.

Well, CRAP: Am stuck working on the road through tomorrow...and now the NHL "suspends" play through Christmas. Reckon I can go into ESPN+ and watch a few games to pass the time
Saw a really cool write-up about Larkin on Daily Caller- Hokestead showed a video of Larkin knocking a guy's Vernor's off the shelf during warm-ups, he goes to the bench to have Zuba snag a $20 and buy the guy a replacement!! Kid oozes class out of every pore. We talk about kids idolizing sports professionals and many of us have issues with whom the kids choose....then a guy like Larkin comes along. Glad my daughter took my Wings #16 jersey to Coastal Carolina!!!! Show off a classy team with a classy leader.
Wishing my HB Wing's blog buds a VERY Merry CHRISTmas and a safe, fruitful, rewarding New Year. Be safe....like my FIL says: "Love them that loves ya!"
Rest, Jeremy. Regroup, inwind, de-stress. Thanks for dropping by this week, brother. Made MY day!!! |

With the Olympics off the table, does most of the U of M team go to China to compete there???? Do they get stranded for weeks and lose their chance at a national title??? |

Last minutes of the game, Red Savage delivers a head shot to a Finn. He gets a major penalty, and on the ensuing PP the Finns score 3 times to beat the USA 4-3. |
