Thanks as always, Bill! I was so hopeful after we tied it up. As you said, Hart deserved better. Well, on to the Rags and Isles!

How could anyone be with the sleepwalking he & his teams do. You would think if he was such a good leader or respected or taken seriously by the guys in the room just once he could get the guys fired up to not come out & get doubled up in shots & look like lifeless trash. It’s almost impossible to be as lifeless As these guys are.

York played well. Frost played with pace at least, and got moved from 4C to LW on Laughton's line
However, he was fighting the puck all night.

Wound rather have Frost
at wing anyway.

Don’t see how York goes anywhere even if that bumps Sanheim out of the top 4 if Ellis ever gets healthy..

funny how we pull the goalie.....we move the puck well and dominate possession. why can't the power play do this.

also...does anyone know where to look up the stat. The 5v3 was terrible. Seems like we never score on them but feel we always relinquish a 5v3 goal.

York didn’t stick out much and I think every shot he took got blocked. Frost was quiet but had some stronger shifts in the second half of the game. Overall, nothing special.

I have not seen the effort he put in in the final seconds of a game for a while now. Charging to stop the empty net. he didn't stop an coast knowing the game was an L.

I actually thought the team showed a little pride coming back and tying it up. They just don't have the horses to put them past even a team like Boston however.

Last night was a game where a healthy Ellis and Couturier might have made a difference.

I feel like York belongs in the NHL. He wasn't a Norris candidate by any means last night, but he showed some poise in a few tight spots and for the most part looked like he belongs.

If I was the coach he would be staying in the lineup in place of Seeler or Connauton when Ristolainen comes back. And he would play in place of Yandle if Ellis ever returns.

Either way, he should stay in the NHL IMO.

I can’t believe that we now will have 46 basically meaningless games to endure. Lost in all this is that that puts Boston 11 pts up for the last playoff spot. After the 10 game losing streak it looked super bleak.. now it’s basically impossible to make the dance if you look at the math and 3 point games.

You might as well sit Ellis the rest of the rear as of now. Honestly, I haven’t felt so pessimistic about the org since the Lindros saga was ending. And even then, the team had some talent it was just the needless drama I didn’t enjoy.

One thing we forget (me too) is how much having a healthy coots means to this team. When he’s out,l or playing hurt, they’re not even close to a playoff team.

The 2nd period was one of those periods where they scored a couple of goals which really masked the fact that they got seriously outplayed in that period. The game followed a familiar path. Outplayed in the first and get down early. Play a poor overall 2nd period. Then make a little push in the 3rd when the opposition is sitting back.

Yes they got outplayed, they almost always do. But I at least liked the heart and effort level, which got noticeably dialed up. I thought once again they were just going to roll over and die.

Small positives are still positives lol.

I still don't understand how this team can chronically not be ready to play at the start of games. Its a scouting report at this point. You know opposing teams are saying, lets come out and bury these guys in the first ten minutes, they will get demoralized and the rest of the game will be cake.

Anyone who has been on this team for 5 years or more needs to be moved out. This group just will not win. They stench of losing and the country club atmosphere will not go away. Hopefully it hasn't rubbed off too much on some of the others.

This team is so far from contending it is comical. All one can do is laugh at this organization. They have to be one of the biggest jokes in the league. Def the biggest for a big market team.

Really too bad the trade deadline is so far off. All UFA obviously also need to go.

Seeing Zac out there in the last minute sums it up. He has hands of stone. Yeo just an ext of the prior staff. What top end coach would even want to come to this schitt shw?

with this staff and GM will it surprise you in any way to see York on the Phantoms?

He 100% should be in the top 6. Maybe he sits a game here or there if need be. He needs NHL experience at this point. As does Zamula.

Even Braun I rest here and there so he looks a little more fresh when the deadline comes.

They are not a playoff team with him. They really dropped the ball not moving him last deadline.
