Goldie said at start of the second that Markstrom stopped many high danger shots in the first, but it really didn’t seem like he was challenged too much all night. At least not like we’ve seen during the Panthers recent hot streak. They were due for a let down, I’m afraid. And Calgary was ready and eager to end their own slide, and repay FL for last week’s game in Sunrise. FL looked rather lifeless, passes were often in skates, or too far in front of target. Calgary controlled the entire game. I expect they’ll look more ready to play next game.

While I’ve been critical of Knight at points, there was some bad puck luck last night that he fell victim to. Nothing you can do there.

Ya a few for sure would have been tough to stop. The 2nd pp goal and the tkachuk have the puck hit you on the way by goal. Goal 5 was an absolute breakdown. Verhags brutal giveaway at the offensive blue as well. At any rate it was painful to watch and made it harder having to stay up to watch that mess. Too hard on the old body anymore to be up that late and get up for work

The only thing I would really say was bad was the rebound he kicked out on the first goal. The whole team was a step slow/behind most of the game, not much support for the kid last night.
