2 ten game loosing streaks. Pure indictment on the garbage captain. Even the worst team in the league doesn’t loose 10 in a row

It’s so hard to watch this team day in and day out. Been watching them since I was a little kid, and have never seen a team with less creativity, physicality and bite to their game. Did anyone watch the Rangers/Leafs game last night? What a game! It was loud and two teams that wanted to win that game. Feels like forever since we had a game like that in Philly.

Some observations? If you didn't know any better and just turned on the game you would have thought that tonight's game was played in mid September(exhibition game). Place looked empty unless lots of folks were dressed as empty seats. Never thought I'd see such an empty arena for a regular season hockey game in Philly. Pretty brutal game for Provorov. This team just generally lacks top level skill. Did Frost play tonight? This kid is the epitome of invisible. Thanks!

40 games in, and two 10 game losing streaks. Spin the loser point any way you want Bill, but this is pathetic. Fletcher has done a horrible job, and the trade of Myers/Patrick for Ellis is at the top of the list. I think I would rather have Hagg, picks, and the cap space rather than RR.

I understand that you work for, or are paid by Comcast, which would be nice if you mentioned that in your blogs for transparency, but the lack of honesty in your blogs is becoming disconcerting. You are like JJ and Jonesy after the hot mic caught them blasting Jake, after that went viral, they tamed their criticisms of the team.

AS a CBJ fan I am glad we won, but both teams played a bad game. If that is what you Flyers fans see every night I feel very sorry for you. I thought the CBJ did not play well at all, but we won.

Do the Hershey Bears still exist? Maybe you ought to find another team to watch for a couple years until the Flyers start and finish the complete overhaul/rebuild they need to do. Maybe by the time the Flyers are done the CBJ might be a good team again.

Not sure why we are complaining. This team has been out of a playoff spot for a while. Losing is in the Flyers best interest and it is not like people here arent rooting for the losses.

The fact Fletcher has done nothing is telling to what he thinks of the team. He said he still hasnt been able to evaluate the team but that isnt it. At any point during the season Fletcher could have made moves to salvage the season yet he has chosen not to. That to me is a good sign.

Yeo is Interim head coach and should stay until the offseason. Status quo and get the better pick. Maybe we can win the lottery and get Wright. Only issue is many scout appear to think he is going to be a very good player but not great.

I didn't see Rangers Leafs but amen to this! I've been a fan over 40 years and this team is brutal. Even the pre-Lindros teams late 80s-early 90s at least tried to compete and made the games interesting. I'll take guys like Keith Acton and Jay Wells any day over this bunch of quitters/stiffs.

Lol yes hopefully! Gotta love how it is a "winless streak" as opposed to a losing streak. Gotta stay positive!

Are you serious bro?! Let me enlighten you; we may come on here and complain about our Flyers but the majority of us are astute and passionate fans of this franchise. This franchise has a history, albeit one that has suffered for the last decade but a history that has endured for decades. We don’t just give up and pack it in and jump on a bandwagon or follow a friggin minor league team that isn’t ours anymore ( it’s Lehigh Valley) . Our franchise has embedded itself into the fabric of the community. Has yours? So don’t feel sorry for us! Well come on here, tell Bill our thoughts, bust each other’s balls occasionally and call it a day. Worry about your team and we’ll worry about ours.

I hear you fella! I watch because it’s a huge part of my life and I know that if we win the Cup someday it’ll be worth it. Unfortunately, it’s a different game now and the grind it out, beat the crap out of the opponent on the wall game is long gone. We need skill and speed on this team now.

Say what you will about the Flyers draft history… I’m excited for trade deadline and the upcoming draft. We should be able to move some players for picks. I’d retain salary where needed or take back an RFA cap dump. We have some good depth pieces for contending teams. Here’s the what I’m hopeful for in return:

Giroux: a first, maybe a 3rd, big body D-prospect.
Brassard: 3rd round pick.
Risto: 1st (or second and prospect)
Braun: 2nd round pick.
Yandle: 3rd or 4th round pick.
Thompson(if healthy): 5th rounder
Jones: 3rd round pick.

Would anyone consider moving JVR to Calgary for Lucic and a 1st or high end prospect? I’d retain the difference if the picks or prospects make sense. I think JVR fits nicely on Calgary, and could fill in a large hole if Gaudreau walks. Flyers will not be competing for a cup next year, so I’m okay bringing in an expensive enforcer to watch the kids. Sign Morin too if he wants to play again… and let’s hope he stays healthy.
Maybe Bedard is on our radar next year!

Pretty brutal game for Provorov
- Phillywhiteout

He goes to take a shot at the point, completely whiffs on the puck, then watches the Jackets go on a break the other way. Sums up his season quite nicely.

I was wondering this too.

The decision he made to put L4 out with 3mins left in the game was dumb -- of course they get hemmed in and waste a full minute.

Then he calls a (frank)ing TO after an icing when the Flyers were pressuring and the Jackets were completely gassed. There goes that advantage.

And MacEwen on PP2 backfired tonight. Provy looked like he had the game tier labeled top corner and MacEwen puts a stick on it and it goes over the net. Provy then glared at him and shook his head.

You really can't make this poop up 😡😡😡

I think Cliff needs to focusing on gathering as many picks as he can for the Bedard draft. But Cliff needs to try to keep his job so I expect head scratching moves to happen.

Unbelievable how this team can not figure it out, until they sort defence out Hart will continue to struggle. A healthy Ellis would make a huge difference for this team, but I don’t think he is the second coming of Chris Pronger so there needs to be a focus how to improve the D, won’t be easy but until it is truly addressed then we can expect more of the same. Is this team subtly “tanking” ?
