Samuel Montembeault pitched another solid game last night in Vegas, but he can’t do it all by himself and the Canadiens lost 4-3 in OT.

After a very rough start, Samuel Montembeault seems to be settling in. Then again, with nothing left to lose (or a reason to win), there is no real pressure right now. But he is making a case for himself as a back-up goalie somewhere in the NHL beyond this year.
And despite the overall numbers, Montreal goaltending has not been the issue with the team this year.

Pete. Houle. You're right, in theory it may be worse as this is looking like it may be a historically bad team from a franchise perspective. Injuries and Covid and everything but record wise, it may go down as the worst season ever

meh, one made what is considered as one of the worst trades in sports history, the other brought the team to a stanley cup final (many may discredit it as "covid playoffs", but for me these were the best times I had in a very long time as a habs fan, very very far away from the Houle years).

I don't disagree, a lot of it is hyperbole. I'm just saying, in theory, this may end up being the worst Habs team/record in history. You are what your record says you are, in theory

There's an argument either way I suppose.
But just look at the mess of contracts bergeron left this team with, right down to the suzuki one..
I was fine at first with that one and still think it'll be a decent deal for the team but the same thought has crossed my mind a few times - Takemedrunkimhome
And that signing was part of that offer sheet debacle.
