Drury should be in the NHL next year. It is encouraging to see the AHL affiliate excel but as was pointed out, it is veteran laden with a number of guys that are Zach Boychuk 2.0. Great AHL players whose game never quite translates to the NHL.

That’s done by design. Chicago is not like other AHL teams, the Wolves are independently owned, and the team rather have more AHL vets then most other teams who’s main goal is to develop players for the next level.
That’s why Chicago bounces around affiliation wise teams get tired of it and end up moving on.

He is rumored in trades but have not heard of him requesting a trade. His salary is probably going way up because of arbitration and that is the reason he is the subject of trade rumors.
