I’d take Manson back 4 x 5 … he helps get to the floor and can play with Cam or another of the kids …

Manson / Drysdale / Shatty / Helleson …RS not the best but I could live it :..

That’s ALOT of work for Sakic… oh and along with MacKinnon, Erik Johnson and Bo Byron and JT Compher are also entering their final year and can start negotiating their extension in July…

Ah yes, my sources as well are telling me that after paying the price for Lehky, and after great playoff performances the last couple years, Joe is just going to trade him off at a loss.

I'm sure Bobby Mac releasing his Final Draft Rankings with Slafkovsky at #1 will not cause a poopstorm on Habs twitter or anything.

Thanks Bob..

When will these players realize that if they want to repeat the Cup win they can't all demand 8-11 million salaries. That forces the team to deal for minor league players or guys on their way out.

I’m 110% sure Johnny Gaudreau is not going to the hell hole that is the NJ Devils. And who wants to play for the third most popular team in its own state

This is basically Kadri's only chance to get paid on a long term deal. I doubt the Avs can afford the contract and term he wants.

Burakovsky was a healthy scratch for several games in the playoffs. He won't be re-signed.

Kuemper is a good/average starting goalie, but he's the best available UFA at the position, so I'd expect some team will give him an offer that the Avs can't come close to. Options for the Avs at G: UFAs Fleury, Husso, Campbell, Holtby, DeSmith... or maybe trading for someone like Varlamov. We'll need to get someone who can run as a 1A/1B with Francouz.

Nichuskin is the biggest UFA priority. Certainly not "wildly inconsistent". He was the most consistent player on the Avs all year. I could see him re-sign for something like 5x5.

Lehkonen is an RFA so I'm not too worried about him. He likely re-signs on a reasonable deal.

Don't see Manson re-signing unless he wants to take a really team friendly deal. A player like him can be acquired at the deadline if needed. Though if EJ retires, maybe then re-signing Manson becomes a bigger priority.

There isn't a single goalie on the list you mentioned that we would really want in front our net. I guess Husso could work as a 1B, but we might have to just try running Kuemper back another year.

Other than that this is about exactly how I feel the off season should go. I would add that I'd really like Cogliano back.

Bloody hell try learning how to spell correctly, that is painful to read. This guy doesn’t even get the names on the jerseys right. I’ve always said if you can’t spell the word, you can’t use it haha! Imagine if we lived in a world like that!
