Great trade and addition. Francis really getting it done this offseason. Credit where its due. Going to make a far stronger team going forward I think. |

Carrying over and updating… maybe ends up something like this…
Burakovsky - Beniers - Eberle
Shwartz - Wright - Bjorkstrand
McCann - Gourde - Donskoi
Tanev - Geekie - Wennberg
Lind/Hayden/Kuhlman extras
Oleksiak - Larsson
Soucy - Schultz
Dunn - Borgen
Grubauer / Jones
Thinking still could use a depth 7th dman here before start of the season though. |

Yeah would be nice to have a 7th but doesn't have to be right now. Can be picked up anytime. Most teams, even the ones over the cap have roster shuffling to do to be compliant so not many trades left.
Kadri and Thachuk would be the only ones to displace a roster enough to possibly force a trade of some sort.
Discussions of Kadri back to Avs and maybe Girard on the move? Sweet grab for any team. I want the leafs for him though

Agree wouldnt be bad but also not a real big rush at all for Francis now. He's done most of the heavy lifting needed already and with the great fortune at the draft this could be very very interesting to see what roster and lineup we get out of the gate too. LOTS of time to add the minor little parts like a 7th dman.
Really happy with how things have gone this offseason and looking forward to seeing what they can do. |

7th dman added in Kempny. Minor easy signing for some depth |

What a steal for the Kraken, brutal trade by Jarmo. |

And True locked up on a two year two way deal. Good to have himcovered off and in the fold. Leading scorer in Charlotte and good call up if there are injuries. Had an 8 game taste last season. |

No you don't trade Laine either.
You trade Jake Bean and/or Nyquist, hell bury those two in the minors if that's what it takes.
Acquire a cheap RFA thats going to arbitration like Appleton from Winnipeg to open up another buyout window and buyout Bean, his buyout is easy on the team.
There had to be better options than trading Bjorkstrand for essentially nothing, also you can be 10% over the cap in the offseason, why not ride it out for awhile and see what happens. |

That would have made some sense there to me too but happy Seattle got him and for so little really. I figured the Kraken were going to make use of the multiple picks especially after using them all this past draft. Guess Columbus felt they could really use the picks and restock some prospects and get the salary cap in line early? Who knows what they are thinking there.

Jeff Tambellini in as Director of Player Development, along with Skills Development Consultant Matt Larke, and Andrew Allen remains with Seattle as goalie scout.
The KC Mavericks are the Kraken's ECHL affiliate, which is a bit strange and quite a few have wondered why it was not someplace on the PC. Could have even put a team in Stockton given the Flames just vacated their AHL team from there.
Grandson and son Jeff got a jump start on his new job last week watching Team Canada World Juniors selection camp in Calgary. During an exclusive phone conversation Monday, Tambellini reported happy news for Kraken fans: 2022 second-round (35th overall) draft choice forward Jagger Firkus "was the best player on the ice" generating eight scoring chances in the first half of an intrasquad game.
Plus, third-rounder and defenseman Ty Nelson "from the time he stepped on warmups he handled himself like a captain" and fourth-round forward Tucker Robertson "played a really strong game" and "complemented Jagger really well, playing off each other and in different spots on the power play." |
