Karine Hains: Roy and Kidney Ready to Play for Team Canada While Tuch, Biondi and Hutson failed to make Team USA for the upcoming World Junior Championships, Riley Kidney and Joshua Roy were confirmed last night as members of Team Canada.

Disappointed not having Ghule there but Roy and Kidney are good consolation price…

Ghule has played a lot of hockey recently, I'd rather see him get some rest and be ready for the habs training camp.

I understand the reasons but having him being the Captain of the gold winning team would not been bad…

I think it is more related to injuries than hockey played…. He did not play that many games past 12 months…

meh, he's 20 years old, he doesn't have anything to prove anymore at the junior level, I think he took the right decision.

why would anyone call him a butt? loll

seriously though you mean team Canada's dcore? it's possible, I barely know any of those kids, but offensively they should be fine.

This is going to be a strange tournament, lot of top players have decided to sit this out.

I think they were told to sit it out rather than chose to…see Slafkovsky for instance the Habs told him he wasn’t going

could he have decided otherwise, or did the habs have the final say in this?

Yeah, either way, lots of star power will be missing that would have been there over the Christmas Holiday tournament.

Which is too bad for the players and the tournament itself.

I see. representing their country is very important for some players, but knowing that he has quite an opportunity here to establish himself with the habs this season I doubt Slafkovsky is too disappointed about it.

The problem is that many are trying to stay healthy for camp to make their teams and a lot of them can also play in December again in the "next" WJC.
