Karine Hains: 3-on-3 Summer Action As the offseason drags on, I thought it would be a good idea to go and check out the LSHL at the Hockey Etcetera building in Mont-Royal with both Suzuki and Drouin playing last night.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Drouin was going out of his way not to shoot. To be honest, I thought that was a little bit worrying, no hard or wrist shots, perhaps his wrist is still not at 100%. Although it’s worth saying that this was his first game in the league this summer.

He hasn't been able to shoot the puck in a few years...it's nothing new for him. If he can't regain his strength in his wrist...he might be done with hockey.

I just meant, put him on LTIR, have more space to take on expiring contracts for picks and/or prospects, so other teams can load up at the deadline.

yup, there's no point of putting a guy on the ice if he can't shoot the puck anymore lol... the only thing about those "expiring contracts" is they better end at the end of the year if the habs are taking any, picks and prospects are nice but they're gonna need cap space as well.
