Another kick at the can or another year slower and tired?

Boston had a good run with these guys, but just like the penguins; the question must be asked, when do you turn the page? Fans love the glory days, but this group ain’t getting it done

Yesterday we were the Blackhawks. Today we are the Penguins.

One in the same.

What team in the NHL wouldn't take Patrice Bergeron at 5 Million dollars? Not many teams would have signed those Letang and Malkin deals.

Both teams are approaching the last dance within the next 1-3 season. Yeah no similarities there.

Good on the B's for getting Bergeron and Krejci back. They get one or two more kicks at the can now before they go into Chicago-like rebuild.

You just pasted a definition of similarity. As being similar. Thank you for the lesson.

I don’t think these teams are going in similar directions.

They just extended Malkin who can’t stay healthy until the age of 40. They just signed Letang until the age of 40. Albeit Letang can still play. Full no movement clauses.

This is after 5 years of minimal playoff success.

The Bruins top 4 defenseman are all about 5-10 years younger than the Penguins.

They signed Rakell who’s like Likely Loui Erikssen version 2 to a 5 year deal. His play has fallen off.

They brought in another 34 year old dman. Got rid of Marino who I think is a pretty solid young player.

Patrice and Krejci are one year deals gives them an extra year to improve the forward group. If Patrice wants to keep playing. I’m good with paying him every year.

The Bruins roster after this season will be getting younger. Pittsburgh will not be. The Penguins players held them over the barrel and now they are stuck with them.

Both teams have resigned an already old core for a last run. This is actual fact. Accept it. You are way over complicating this and just arguing for arguing sake. Are you OK?

EDIT: Same for the Chicago thing: Both teams have been bad with asset management for an extended period of time. Actually happened. I know. It's (frank)ing wild.

I compared two different teams. Sorry.

I’ll just stick to vague comparisons then. 1 year and 5 years are the same. Penguins have established players. Bruins have established players. They is same.

Don't worry Duck, I've got your double serving of crow on the grill right now.

Hmmm..."thinks, I wonder if this would be considered cannibalism?"

Side note: I bought myself a new jersey finally. First home jersey. Had to get PB37. Should have done it sooner but I'm happy to have it now.

Good call. My old Bourque jersey is a classic, but might be time to wash and retire it. It has seen its fair share of beer stains.

A guy in my pickup hour has a white Leafs Gilmour sweater. I think he bought it back when Gilmour played for them. Probably also the last time it was washed It's more yellow than white.

My white ice jerseys stay white for about 1 season if I’m lucky lol

Just have to pray that we’re wearing black each week 😂

Nothing like fishing out a sweat and beer colored jersey from the bottom of the hockey bag for some pick up. Straight up looks like you pulled it off a hobo.
