Even politics in hockey. Young players are a crapshoot Nobody knows what is going on in their heads and to be a star you have to have talent and be driven to succeed. That takes in both mental and physical toughness. Hard to have both of them Only the real stars are mentally prepared and driven Others look for a big paycheck and when they get it they cruise Spend all that money and get nothing in return. A real shame but the NHL could care less It is the fans that foot the bill with bloated ticket prices and false hopes Not to be critical

Malkin at 61, Crosby elite, no ranking given.

EGod because:
A) Other guys on this team would have done just as well, probably better than him had they been given half the opportunities he received.
B) Rodrigues cost us game six with his selfish antics.
C) I don't like him. Never met him, may be a great guy, don't think so. I think he's arrogant.

Nope just the truth about all of sports today. Never do you hear about the sport itself you hear about the money money money Show me the money I am worth more than he is. Sounds like a bunch of brats in the school yard. I am not saying this only about hockey but ALL SPORTS. Greed just runs sports today. The money is NEVER enough Give me more I cannot survive on only 5 mill a year 10 mill a year 20 mill a year It really gets tiresome listening to these spoiled brats complain when the whole world is going to crap

Did a bitta laughing out loud when I came across this paragraph just now hahahah

"The rumour comes from "Eklung" of Hockey Buzz, so it might be wise to take it with a grain of salt, but he has graded the rumour an "E4", which is typically reserved for trade discussions that have some real heat behind them and could be close. For reference, an "E5" rating is typically a done deal that hasn't broken quite yet."

Give me 4 links to articles over the last 40+ years featuring quotes from athletes complaining that they couldn't live on their salary. That's one quote a decade.

In the time since, Blomqvist put together a strong season in a backup role for his club Karpat in the top Finnish league. He led all goaltenders in both goals-against average (1.32) and save percentage (.940) in 20 regular-season games, recording five shutouts. Blomqvist supplanted his team's starter in the postseason, and posted an exceptional 1.10 goals-against average and .950 save percentage in seven games as Karpat was eliminated in the first round of the Liiga playoffs.

We’ll probably have a Lindberg/Blomqvist tandem in the not so near future.

Idk about that haha, I mean I'd like to see more of Blomqvist. But if they sign Jarry, more like Jars/Blom next season. He definitely one to watch this year though.

Having Blomqvist,Lindberg and Gauthier already in the system, why did they feel the need to spend a 4th round pick on Murashev? Given how depleted their system is, coupled with the fact that they didn’t have a 2nd or 3rd rounder, it made little sense!
