Hadn't realized Will Reilly was done. I liked him as potential depth coming in but never progressed in the AHL. Same with Cam Lee and Jordy Bellerieve, though I thought Bellerieve deserved a little better. Still a long shot at this point. Riikola and Angelo gone too so a lot of guys we'd talked about in the past have washed out. Such is the nature of a shallow prospect pool.

Pensburgh doing their annual top 25 under 25. No established NHLers so basically a prospect list

Legare 14 and Nylander 15 we're the last 2. Not even coming close to Pens top 10 is pretty bad for 2 guys who aren't under the radar, even if it's just Pensburgh.

Haha I forgot about Rikki. Idk that Bellerieve ever fully recovered from his hand injury. Not that he was that great but maybe he could have been a bottom 6 guy.

He wasn't looking like a top 6 for certain. Don't know why they never seemed to move him up despite him outscoring some top 6 guys. Was hoping he could at least be a cheap home grown 4C. But not really a big loss

No not a big loss at all haha. Anything that comes from within is a (frank)ing bonus to me lol.

Our beloved Czech Republic beat USA 🇺🇸 4-2 to advance to the semi-finals.
Loved our Czechs: Jagr, Straka, Lang, Slegr, Nedved, Hrdina, Beranek, Roszival…Melichar lol crazy how we wanted to have all of them (although some in different seasons).

So much for big name players and highly sought free agents not wanting to play in Calgary... or Canada... Huberdeau signs for 8 and Kadri for 7. Me thinks young Yankees feel entitled and could use an attitude change.

That last sentence was a blanket statement btw and not meant to be taken seriously.... lots of blanket statements about playing in Calgary/Canada on the go around here though....
