Rangers Prospects have looked really good in this Tournament so far.

The Rangers future is bright and bursting with optimism.

Just saw the highlights from the Canada/Finland game.
Have to say I was expecting a different sort of game from the comment on here about Canada falling apart.

Hoping we get to see a nice Canada/US match up for gold!

Those last 13 minutes of the game Canada just couldnt get out of its own way. They were fortunate to get out of the 5 min major without giving up a score, but took 2 or 3 more penalties one after the other after it.

Othmann is averaging 2 pts per game in the WJC, which is great. McTavish has 13 points in FOUR games

I wanted the Rangers so badly to move up in the draft to get McTavish, at the time the rankings had him at about 7-8. Ducks hit it perfect by grabbing him at 3. Hes a total stud.

Aatu Raty putting up points in the WJC also. Recall a few of us going nuts when he kept falling. Damn Islanders.

Yea there was a lot of talk about his inability to adjust to the top league in Finland, which he silenced after putting up 40 pts in 41 games. For a while he was the consensus #1 pick, took a huge dive in the rankings. We will see how he adjusts to the NHL level competition.

I kept hoping the Rangers would find a way to get into the middle part of the second round to get him

Lots of people here were really hoping.

We lost that 2nd round pick in the Marc Staal trade. I was hoping we could package our 2 picks in the 3rd round to move up some how.

One interesting thing about Raty free falling in that draft is that Carolina picked 3 times in 2nd round, including the pick right before the Islanders selected him and passed on him every time.

And Carolina is usually accepted as really knowing what they are doing at the draft.

And Carolina loves the Finns. Kinda surprised by them skipping him.

I think even if the Rangers traded into the 2nd round it doesn't mean that they would have selected Raty, whatever the reason, teams kept passing on him

its very possible though that teams will end up with egg on their faces

Or we may but it was 100% worth that risk. He looked great in camp and preseason last year. All signs point to him being a great pick but that means nothing until he’s playing a regular role with the big club. With that said for a late 2nd it was a no brainer pick imo.

From an analyst on Wall Street that covers MSG Entertainment, so a pretty credible source, too.

While Dolan sucks ass when he's been a hands off owner it's been fine. He is willing to spend to the max no matter what. I hope the potential new owners would be the same.

I wonder what would happen to the TV rights etc.
