Not sure why, but I really have not watched much of the WJC this summer. Maybe it is because some of the best players are not there, maybe because it is mid-summer.

Not even really seeing the media frenzy (regular and social media) on the tournament...

I was born about 9 months later (after the show, not the death... just realized what you were talking about).

So, you know how that went over.

Oh his death... yeah, I remember that.

We lived in Rigeau, down by the water. We played his records all day, and at night, there were a few people in the area that came over to our nightly campfire with their instruments, and sang his songs.

A few days earlier I got a transistor radio, I was sitting in the park, playing jack knife and smoking cigs with my buddies, heard it on that thing..

agreed. it seems weirdly low key. even on here not as many people are talking about it as usual.

From last thread :

Sup, Snots? Recent obsession musically? Mine? Jinjer. Rush meets Lamb Of God meets (of all things) No Doubt. Stellar Ukraine band.

For those uninitiated, try this:

- Darksyde

Recent musical obsessions have been Car Bomb, Cattle Decapitation, Dillinger Escape Plan and Killer Be Killed for heavy music. Amongst others!! That’s always a loaded question. Lol

I’m trying to write stuff in my new band that’s in the same vein as Car Bomb. The way the use tempo shifts, polyrhythms and playing ahead/behind the beat to create energy!!

If you need any details, let me know. Always good to hear from you and hope you’re doing well!

Also Jinger is a great band and her voice and their progressive nature is awesome
