Carol Schram: Quarterfinal day is here at World Juniors; NHL's new broadcast landscape There's hockey all day from the World Junior Championship, with four quarterfinal games on tap from Edmonton featuring three Canucks prospects. Also, NHL streaming in Canada changes next season, and the Canucks' radio home is up in the air.

I feel the same way. I haven't watched a single Canadian world junior game so far, and while this group of kids didn't do those awful things, its hard to support Hockey Canada.

Ive watched the Finland games and Sweden games though.

Sure, I'll keep tabs on other countries players. HC is dead to me unless they do something drastic which might change my mind.

Yup, until the entire board is fired, I have no interest. They need a few women to be in charge, in my opinion.

Go Canada go!

These kids have had nothing to do with previous teams! Old people need to know how to forgive and let things go!

For a week. Hopefully she stays and the rest of the board is fired.

I'd say covid, summer time/off season, reduction of competition(no Russia), and recession have hit this competition harder than the long past incidents involving sexual misconduct. I know there are a few in here that would wish it the other way round but this is simple logic.

Wrong. No COVID restrictions, plenty of good competition without Russia and Alberta has been in a 'recession since about 2014. The stink of Hockey Canada is still too putrid for many fans.

So Albertan's are protesting long past sexual misconduct by the tens of thousands. They refuse to spend their money because of the stink of Hockey Canada's reputation. They are demanding HC get with the times and get rid of the Ol' Boys Club and hire more woman to fix this black eye they are giving good Canadians. Got it.

You sure know how to contradict your own narratives. According to your narratives, there should be standing room only and massive prices for scalp tickets out on the streets.

I’d say they are all factors.

I can remember booking the 27th off work every year because the hangovers would be epic. Attending or hosting watch parties, even for games that started at 4am.

I went to a couple games when it was in Victoria (and Vancouver), but can’t say I’ve watched a full game on TV in a decade.
