Kind of surprising the Flames couldn't have attached Valimaki and/or Mackey to Monahan to keep that pick or even get something back. |

Thanks Trevor.
I think the Flames are legit RW away from being a really good team.
They have the pieces to make it happen but who could they go after? |

Old core was rotten to the core.
Just keep Brian Burke and Matt Stajan away from the new core with their "values". Sodomy and persecution of the poor are just a couple sins that cry for God's intervention. |

If the Flames have dealt Florida’s pick and their choice is later than Florida’s — then the Habs get a 2025 Flames fourth and the Flames 2025 first
I don't think this part is accurate. I think that condition is there to account for the Flyers getting the 2025 Florida pick if Florida's 2024 pick is in the top ten.
The header for that part of the condition is if the pick isn't transferred to the Flames so they wouldn't be able to deal it. Also, if the Flames get Florida's 2025 pick, Calgary's 2025 4th rounder is going to Florida so they wouldn't have it to give to Montréal. |

I agree with this. Looking at the Flames team they're good, but one more top six right wing would set them up. I'm sure Trevling would have loved a Josh Anderson type through trade. There's always Kessel?

That doesn't make any sense for the Leafs. Their defence is fine as it is and they go from a two line team to a one line team. |

Yeah seems to be not a fit. Maybe Philly. Hanafin for Atkinson or Konecky. |

The first with mony being another draft at least seems like a really nice stroke for calgary, still have their pick in what looms like a monster draft next year.i hate that i like these moves. |

Capfriendly has Kadris contract with no bonuses or front loading at all. Is that true?? If so that’s strange. |

So does Pelletier play in the top 6 for the Flames or bottom 6?
He’d be a great setup guy for Toffoli. |

How about some youth with huge potential upside. Hanavin and whatever for Tim Stutzle.
Apparently he is available. Better long term potential than a Phil Kessel type trade. |
