Thanks for this Jacob, I didn’t participate because I was waffling too much with my answers. Great read and I enjoyed my co-reader's responses.

Only one I think is happening is the leadership change in the summer for Winnipeg. It hasn’t worked for 10 years, and the closest they got was with a team that didn’t exist the year prior. Push all in or fully tear it down

Leadership is lacking. Wheeler has his house on the market, and without PoMo, will probably not see the same role he previously had. Sadly, Stastny has moved on and he was a great leader. I'd say the player that best demonstrates leadership qualities on this roster is probably Pionk. That undersized D lays it on the line every game and leads with his work ethic.

While most people are writing the Jets off, I can see them having a stronger season than last year. Ehlers was hurt for too long, and Perfetti is just getting his toes wet. These guys can certainly elevate this squad, and one of Schmidt/Heinola/Samberg have to make serious progress to help in the top 4 with JoMo/Pionk/Dillon.

Jacob, found this very interesting, I'm sorry I missed it. Very interesting to see the different opinions on the different players like Heinola for example.

What the Jets need to turn things around is some player - some player - who comes out of the wood work and is better than expected, like one of the young d-men, or Torgersson/Chibrikov (spelling?) up front.

"IF" that were to happen and the Jets could deal say, Wheeler and one of Schmidt/Dillon for a decent return, then the Jets would suddenly look a lot different. But again I say "if!"

Wheeler, Dillon and Schmidt should have value (despite their salary cap hits) for a team that's "going for it."

Blake Wheeler no longer the captain! No surprise! Surprise is we won't have a captain!

I think Nik Ehlers should get an "A".

Not a surprise that Wheeler is no longer Captain, I and a couple of others called that one a few blogs ago. I predicted Morrissey would be the next Captain but it appears that Bowness is going to likely have maybe three assistant captains and then see which one elevates the most. A good way to promote lots of blossoming leaders.

My bets are A's to start the year on Morrissey, Scheif , and Ehlers, with an outside chance of Dubios.

I would go for your first three plus Lowry. They can have four without a captain can't they?

Also wonder what Lowry is thinking (attitude) now that his pops is no longer with the club? Surely he would see it coming, wouldn't he?
