Karine Hains: In "Hainsight": Rookie Tournament off to a Good Start The Habs’ rookies might have lost the game against Buffalo’s prospects last night, but a few Canadiens made a good impression.

although having one eye closed will mess with depth perception.

yup, it does

does Slafkovsky really weigh 239lbs now? I was a bit skeptical but the way he handled that hit from Berzolla made me think it just might be the case, he didn't even flinch while for the other guy it was like he hit a wall lol

hmm, perhaps Roy should close one eye more often, it might prevent him from being expulsed during a game if he sees less of what's going on lol

yeah but at the same time I wouldn't want him to get injured during this tournament, I'd rather have him healthy for habs camp and to start the season.

he was clutch for sure.

btw I was referring to his recent expulsion during a pre-season game as coach... he was also expulsed last year in the playoffs. but St-Patrick will be St-Patrick...

I liked the part where Slafkovsky carried the puck into the slot with his head down and got hit, losing the puck. But he didn't fall over so everybody cheered.

Slaf gained 11lbs and it’s evident! Also, Caufield put on 5lbs of muscle over the summer.

He is going to have to learn that going it alone vs 3-4 guys is not gonna work in the NHL, so either use his line mates, go around the net or dump the puck so he/someone else can get it.

I think he is use to being the big bull, shoving people aside at will and moving into the slot for a shot with ease.

A learning process.
