Exactly what I suggested a few days ago. Competition for the 4th line includes names like Janmark, Shore, Ryan, Benson, Malone. Virtanen is an upgrade on most of these guys. Has size. Decent hands to chip in a few goals. Hope they sign him before another team scoops him up. |

I wish he was good, but he sucks. The chance of him coming in in shape are also low. Unless he hit rock bottom and realized (could be). He's a lower hockey IQ, not as tough, but faster zac kassian haha |

JV will help. Can log top 6 minutes if need be as well when injuries hit. Good skater and great shot just his Hockey IQ needs a bit of work lol. Kind of like a better version of Kassian who doesn't really fight. |

The hate is strong.
While not a good thing to be constantly doing reclamation projects I suppose there is a chance he was wrongfully accused...
Virt is more of the type of player the Oilers need so I can understand the PTO from a technical standpoint. However I was under the impression he really isn't any good anymore and this will be a short tryout.
Optics aside this is a very good training camp addition and in the unlikely situation he blows the doors off and also signs dirt cheap.... a potentially solid PTO. |

I'd argue, nobody has a lower hockey IQ than Kassian. |
