Bear. There is a chance I can run away or atleast a better chance of survival.

Shark I’m actually screwed. There is no way of out swimming it.

*drinks shot of whiskey*

*waits for leaf fans to start crying when they see the leafs won’t be able to keep Sandin and they’ll get (frank) all in a trade return*

Seriously, either an injury occurs making a team overpay or he plays in Europe this year.

Do you seriously expect Sandin to sign?

He’s no longer top 6 with the leafs when it comes to their D.

Will the leafs have him in the box waiting on an injury to get to be able to play full time? No.

They’ll plug him back down to the Marlies so the 22 year old plays regularly hence why he isn’t signing.

A shark, because I would punch it in the nose, stunning it, and then snap its pencil neck.

Meh, that's what you see. Plenty of GMs have given up something for reclamation projects. I don't think it's such a low return at this time.

no idea, but I may be the the one the cares the least. They will be fine if he doesnt sign before the start of the season. and if he does, they will figure out the cap.

Is he one of the top 3 LHD? Maybe, maybe not. but for me he doesnt really make or break anything.

I’m sure I’m reading this wrong. Is Sandin a reclamation project?

Like I said.

He’s 22. Will he be the leafs 7th? Not a chance. They’ll put him back on The Marlies so he gets to play.

Which makes him currently only worth a late 3rd or early 4th.

I love the kid and I think he’s a genuine NHLer tbh, but I don’t see where he fits with the leafs… so what are they going to to do? Hold him till pro year 7 before he gets a shot to prove himself?

He’s currently only worth what I’m saying due to the market, not himself. It’s why I think Dubas is sitting on this one and kind of hoping an injury occurs that would make him able to get a late first rounder or early second rounder for him which is what he’s worth.

This past summer I’ve truly realized that under this cap crunch the league has put into play that a player’s skill level isn’t what establishes his trade value… and won’t again until the crunch ends.

I like the comments. Buddy complains that the ceremony (which she organized) is soulless and doesn’t reflect her personality which I guess he knows. Buddy 2 asks, what were you expecting, Moulin Rouge?

That’s all I’m trying to say… the current market makes his value lower than Dubas wants… does this kid have skill and the potential to be a solid NHLer? Yes…. Do I see it with the leafs? No. Unless of course they manage to find a right side Muzzin after this year.

I missed when Sandin became a reclamation project?

He has a good season at 21 besides the injury. He is projecting well and is a talented 22 year old D

Romanov is 22 and just went for the 13th overall pick.

There is a 6000000% chance he will not play on the Marlies.

If he gets sent down he gets claimed, aint happening.

Sandin’s market value is only relevant if the Leafs have any intention of trading him. He will get playing time this year between injuries and as the team tries to manage the minutes of the old guys ahead of him on the left side. They also don’t want to stall his development. I expect to see Muzzin gone next year once his full NTC is modified.

Unless they plug him there to start the year.

Like I’ve mentioned… I personally think he’s an NHLer but I simply don’t see his current fit with the leafs. Hence why I’m thinking that he’s going to get moved or end up playing in Europe this year… especially before the Marlies, hence why he isn’t signing.

I could be wrong but is it 3 years before he becomes a UFA? Based on the age of 25 of course. Please correct me and explain why if I’m wrong.

I think they sign him at some point, before or after the season starts.
he is still a tweener, in and out of the lineup. anf if injuries happen and vets get rested he get enough games this season. and come next season he is a reg in the top 6
