Thanks Bill. Praying for good news on Coots, but I expect the worst TBH.

Also, ordered my warriors T shirt Thanks for supporting the vets...

Early Season predictions:

1. Felix takes over the starters role at some point.

2. Ivan is traded to the Leafs.

3. JVR finishes the year in a Flyers uniform.

These poor players are gonna take a ton of heat all season for a completely incompetent front office/ownership combo.

When they lose 10 of the first 12 who is going to be the first scapegoat they fire?

Very interesting. I'd prefer this.

1. Felix makes the team as backup and is very effective in 25 games.

2. Ivan F. escapes his Russian Gulag and makes it to NA to play for the Phantoms.

3. JVR is traded to the Leafs.

I really do wonder what the leash on Chuck is. If they come out losing like that are out of it by Black Friday and the building is empty (a very likely scenario), you'd think Chuck would be canned wouldn't you?

You’d think so but he’s Clarke’s puppet and unless Dave Scott finally tells Clarke to kick rocks he’s going to be safe imo

The way the Flyers operate the question should read Who gets promoted after losing 10 of 12 games?

This season will be business as usual for the clown show of an organization.

In my opinion the Flyers are “ Quiet Tanking” the clowns in charge are just going it wrong. Surprise surprise

It's very possible. I'd really like to see significant changes in the FO if this season is a dumpster fire which it most certainly will be.

If anything they’ll just promote Briere and Clarke will be in his ear as much as he was with Chuck.

They need to clean house.

It’s a sad what this once proud organization that was relevant for decades has become.

Interesting that all these specifics leaked about the new injury, but there were no real specifics about the back surgery in February.

So far…
Injuries/rehab:
Coots
Farabee
Brink

At forward:
JVR-Hayes-Atkinson
Tippett-Laughton-TK
Ratcliffe-Frost-Allison

Battling for a spot in top 12 and depth/call up…(some could be the extra forward, loaned or waived)

Hodgson-Laczynski-MacEwen
Deslauriers-Brown-Sandin
N.Cates-J.Cates-Foerster
Wisdom-Desnoyers-Lycksell
Willman-Anisimov-Roussel

Looking at the training camp roster, there are 14 additional forwards in camp that I didn’t list here. So 3 entire teams of forwards, they certainly have volume.

Nic D isnt battling anything. He he is a stone cold lock.

Radcliff is also nowhere near a lock for top 9. Better chance he gets waived.

The biggest issue with Fletcher is probably not his incompetence up till now….what about going forward? Does anyone have any confidence what so ever that he can fix this or at least get them going in the right direction? He’s clearly not the answer going forward….all the excuses in the world up till now don’t make it any more plain to see….he’s not the guy that should be leading this franchise.

Leaked? That would mean it came from the front office. Maybe Sean told ASF about it and the club was unaware that he told him.

Either way, who do you trust more? Flyers or ASF.

Personally, it will be a long time before I believe anything that comes from the Flyers organization.

I think I’ll just wait and see how they do in camp, and what/if additional injuries effect placement before commenting.

I will say it’s going to be a dirty mess if they choose vets over young, higher potential forwards and lose them on waivers. Really, way to tick off the fan bomb.

The Flyers organization did tell us that Farabee got disc replacement in June. It was done by the same surgeon who did Couturier's unspecified back surgery in February.

So you think they signed Nic D for 4 years with a partial NTC to battle for a roster spot?

I will be shocked if Radcliff makes the opening night roster.
