so you basically just wrote how florida this that and other things and then takes toronto to win in 7 lmao, come on EK get your sheet together.. it will be a close series sure but
Toronto in 6.
In round 1 you predicted 3 right and had 5 wrong. You then had a chance to re-do your predictions after the first 2 games. Your revised predictions did worse - 2 right, 6 wrong.
So when you pick Toronto over Florida...I have my doubts.
Also a few strange takes here. Lundell is becoming a star in front of our eyes? Based on what? His 2 even strength points in 7 games? The kid underperformed and needs to get better. But you don't mention Carter Verhaeghe who had a great series. Gustav Forsling led all Panthers in ice-time, but Radko Gudas gets a shout out from the bottom pair?
Also why would Florida be happy Tampa was eliminated? Most teams would rather play Tampa than Toronto at this stage. Tampa clearly lost a lot of depth and faded down the stretch.
There's more urgency in Toronto because they know their favourite son McDavid is coming up the other side and they want to ensure that he can lift that Cup high over his head in the Scotia Bank Center or whatever they're calling the ACC these days. They'll chew through FLA and CAR (yes, I'm picking CAR to beat the Devils) in anticipation.

Matthews won't be upset seeing McDavid win the Cup in front of Toronto fans. His main distraction right now is how the Dubas extension talks are going. His future security depends on Dubas.
Yes, Toronto has weapons. I still feel, despite some cagey veterans like ROR and Tavares, the jitters will kick in. AM and MM have not played really meaningful games like this in their career. Add the pressure of Toronto faithful in there, I think its Toronto series to lose. There will be mistakes. Neutral zone turnovers will prove costly. Many pick TO to win and win easily. FLAs forecheck will force TO to turnovers. Defensive breakdowns will happen. And that will test Sammy in net. There is not as much pressure on Florida to win this series. Thats your difference maker.

His revision came AFTER Carolina had a 2-0 lead in the series and then he changes to Islanders. Even by Buzztron standards, that is insanely stupid.
Panthers are now a healthy team, which wasn't the case all season long throughout the lineup. They will outplay the Leafs 5x5 just like they did with Boston. Their PK is what will determine if they move on or not or key injuries to either squad.
Leafs defence is suspect and Samsonov aka Samsonite will be packing his bags on the bench after game 2.
My pick is Panthers in 6 as they are a better team than last year's President Trophy team.

Funny about that suspect Leaf defence that gave up 52 fewer goals than Florida this season. Why not just say Panthers in 6 cause I hate the Leafs? The whole trying to reason through things isn’t really working for ya.
