Pretty conservative projections for someone with his talent, probably no restrictions on ice time, unlimited PP time

I would think 75+ in year one assuming healthy.

Fantastic deal!!
2 Rocket Richards, Calder and a Heart. More goals (299) than any other NHL players since he entered the league during the 2016-17 season, including the likes of Ovi, McD, & Draisaitl, despite having a “down” year statistically on 2022-23. On top of that he….wait this is not the Auston Matthews signs contract extension blog??

I really don’t think Reichel will be the other wing on Bedard’s line. Pretty sure he’ll be paired again with Athanasiou as they worked well together at the end of last year.

Hawks very likely to at least start with two more established vets playing with Bedard. Raddysh (yes I know he’s not THAT well established), or T. Johnson are my guesses as guys to get first crack.

I wouldn't be surprised that at the start of the season, you see Foligno starting as first line RW. I think that would not be permanent and by TDL time, he is on the third/fourth line, but I can see Bedard/Hall/Foligno being on the ice for the opening face-off of the season.

Today IS Denis Savard Day! #18. Wayne Gretzky once called him the most exciting player in the NHL. A shout out to Darcy Rota!
