Karine Hains: In Hainsight: End of Season Ratings – Goaltenders What started as a threesome ended like what seems like a pretty stable relationship.

With the 6th overall pick in the 2024 NHL draft, the MTL Cdns are proud to select...

not much else to talk about, this is a Habs blog, they are eliminated, lottery draft is coming up, then the draft.

We can talk about the draft, potential trades, buyouts, players development....

unless you want to talk if the Habs want to resign their AHL coach or not?

oh it wasn't a reproach whatsoever, if anything I'm thankful you and others are actually talking about this because I barely know anything about the players involved

I do enjoy reading on prospects from different point of views to get a broader perspective but they are 18yrs old kids...their development is not finished, this is not an exact science, purely a projection.

Then there is the team dynamic, where they are in the rebuild, pressure to win now, position of needs, team build up (size, type of players).

Hopefully HuGo and their team make the right call or get lucky by winning the lottery or having a player they want slip down to MTL

that would be insane... damn. if that were to happen I'm not saying the rebuild would be immediately engaging in warp speed but it could sure accelerate things, adding a Celibrini to the mix.

Oh it would change everything.

Suddently you have a guy that's bound to become your best player and #1 centre. Might even afford to move Dach to the wing and be less dependant on his good health for our long term success.

I am always leery of players that make huge jumps in the lists, just like I wonder about those players that slip significantly if it is warranted.

That is why I like to look at many different opinions / lists.

managers usually try to alleviate risks as much as possible, so not being completely dependent on Dach is surely something they've already started to think about... next season will be crucial for Dach in that regard, playing a full healthy season could go a long way in reassuring Hughes and Gorton.

I love Dach. I think he looked amazing before getting injured and I fully believe in him.

But so far, we still have to consider him sort of an unknown as to what he'll bring to the table once the rebuild is complete. Another injury riddled season next year would be quite the blow both to him and the Habs.

same here, really love Dach as well, it's just those damn injuries.

one silver lining though would be that the injuries he's had aren't necessarily recurring or related to one another, so I would tend to say he's just had very bad luck rather than labelling him as an "injury-prone" player.

Yes. That's the silver lining.

Let's hope his luck turns.
