You're so smug. Yeah the Laffs are 13 points clear of the Sens and are a lock to make the playoffs, while the Sens are one of the very worst teams in hockey, but I see you clearly just forgot about the 2 preseason game is when the Sens demolished the Make Beliefs.

Those games are the ones that matter

No time for that. I'm too busy counting all the Sens rookies on TSN's pre season top rookie ranking list. Pre season rookie rankings which favour the Sens matter. Unless the Sens rookies are ahead of the Leafs in scoring and games played. In that case those things matter too. Until the Leafs surpass them. Then those things are just fluff.

That's better than good, it's great and I'm not afraid to admit it. I'd love to have him on the Leafs. Just pointing out the ridiculousness of that assessment made by Mr. MIA leading up to this season. And yeah, scoreboard...

The Senators have not hidden the fact that they want to move Colin Greening, they've offered him around the league, put him on waivers, and now, apparently are willing to sweeten the pot with a prospect. Their motivation is probably a combination of saving a fer dollars, freeing up a roster spot, allowing Colin to move on to another organization.

As I said before, other teams have taken back another "bad contract" to bury it in their system just to get rid of a player with a handcuffing contract on their roster.

Some of you seem to think that the Senators financial viability are at a critical tipping point and the very future of their franchise hinges on getting rid of this contract.

This is not the case. As much as you'd like to see the only successful NHL team in Ontario be forced to relocate or fold.............don't hold your breath, and perhaps you'd be better off worrying about the diminishing value of the leafs, and the prospect of another NHL int he GTA if the league expands to further cut into the leafs share of the revenue pie in their backyard.

I doubt very much that Greening and IF they include a prospect, are the "future" that the Senators are moving towards.

Still only five losses in regulation after 22 games, only Montreal has fewer.

Ottawa is second in the Division, while your leafs are basement dwellers.

Always better to be in a playoff spot at American Thanksgiving.

Stats show a 10-year trend that 77.3% of teams in a playoff spot at this time of the season, remain there until the end of the season.

Better situation than the leafs.

talk all you want about prospects and the AHL affiliates, this thread is about the NHL teams.

Ottawa went thought it's re-build a number of years ago, and the leafs just started theirs..... none of us can measure the future success either re-build, so speculation on the future is futile. leaf fans cannot accept the fact that over the past decade Ottawa has been the better team of the two, based on results on the NHL ice............so they keep telling everyone how much better their team will be in the future, and have been doing so for 10 years now................ still waiting.
