i wasn't even in the thread back then but going back and looking at it is amazing. these guys really made incredible fools of themselves. i don't think i've seen anybody bury themselves worse on this site ever.

Periodically Systemtool would go grab like 10 or so quotes from Spazz D'oops and then post them in a row.

Reading them back to back to back was hilarious.

No wonder D'oops disappeared completely, except to pop in and troll when the Leafs lose once in a while.

dErps' whole life consists of arguing points he's wrong about so it didn't really surprise me coming from him. but i never really knew the other guy and it's hard to believe there's someone else as out of touch with reality as dErps.

the fact that they argued so hard is hilarious. talking down to people and talking in such absolutes about something they were so absolutely wrong about. when i go back and read it it's almost like they're doing it on purpose but they're not - they really mean what they're saying.

Morale: Habs fans can't face reality.

Funny how after the territorial rules, C forms and everything else goes away, and the prospects and players start to fade (hint - that would be in the late 70s), it becomes few and far between that the Habs win anything.

the Habs have won 2 cups since then, one in a 21 team league, the other in a 24 team league, and that was nearly a quarter century ago. And we certainly know it'll be a long time before they even stand a chance at another, given how garbage their organization is these days.
