To end this thread, one question remains.

Matthews or Laine?

Because quite frankly, I found Laine more impressive than Matthews in the games I saw in the last week or so.

Matthews looks the much more impressive overall game.

Laine looks dangerous from a stationary position in the offensive zone.

I hate the Habs the most. I would hate the Sens more, if they were any good.
The Habs scare me because, with Price, they can actually contend.

i have to admit that trolling a fanbase for having the 1st pick is an interesting twist on an age-old tradition. right now it's "laine is better, good luck with matthews" but if they draft laine it will switch to "matthews is better, good luck with laine". it's actually rattling some people so if anything i recommend continuing with that campaign if possible.

it's pretty magical.

Daigle was drafted more as a marketing tool, trying to get Quebeckers in Hull to become Sens fans .............dumb move, and I said so at the time.

But leaf fans should not be bragging about their first round picks too much, I mean the ones that they did not trade away that is, as they have their fair share of duds and misses.

That's not my stance. I'm just saying, if I was the Leafs, I'd be pretty hesitant.

That said, they probably saw both players a bazillion times, so their idea probably won't change after just a hand full of games at the World Championship.
