Amazing how Sens' fans schedules have cleared in their first win after a 4-game skid.
- Feeling Glucky?

I was thinking the same thing.

He didn't even wait 24 hours.

Anywho, I think it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that the Leafs are in better shape than the Sens going forward. Leafs being lead by a 27 year old goaltender, a 19 year old centre, a 19 year old winger and a 20 year old centre/winger (whatever the brass decide). On D they have 3 dmen under 25 who are really starting to perform at the same time for the first time this year (Rielly has really picked it up lately after having an off year, Zaitsev being a rookie in NA). The Leafs vet supporting cast (minus a few) are between 25-27.

20 million in cap space in the offseason leads itself to some very intriguing options. Added to that the expected introduction of Kapanen and one or both of Rychel and Leipsic next season and things really open up on the trade front. They're extremely well positioned cap wise going forward with Lupul and Bozak being able to come off (disregarding the vast amounts coming of after this year) before the big 3 need a raise.

And just as a tease, the (most likely) arrival of Grundstrom, Dermott, Nielsen, Bracco, Brooks, Timashov and Korshkov for the 2018-19 season, to keep the salivation going.

Further down the road the likes of Korostelev, Dzierkals, Greenway and Woll (plus the next two years of draft picks) will ensure youthful skill and energy will be constantly available for the organization.

Happy days (finally)

And why should we believe this post anymore than all the false hope that you guys gets pumped up about every year?

When are you going to learn it is always about the scoreboard.

Sens had the two best players at the World Juniors. Both will make the team next year and both will be big league additions. But that is next year. We can talk about that next summer.

yes, because 20 year-olds drafted in the mid-first round typically come in the nhl and have 'big league impacts'.

btw, how's brown doing? downgraded to echl material yet?

why would you want to talk about mcguire's predictions?

so losing 4 out 5 down the stretch is a good thing?

Duh over the last 10 games the record looks pretty strong

Montreal -15 points
Ottawa -14 points
Boston -10 points
Toronto -12 points
Tampa -11 points

The Leafs have actually had a better year and deserve more respect from you guys. This talk about next year and the future disrespects what they have done this year. Most young teams that have a break through development year like the Leafs this year normally fall back in the following year. I expect the same for the Leafs next year. You guys need to do more to show some appreciation for how well they have played this year.

I worry about Brown he is proving to be very fragile and has spent most of the season on the injury list

no. it's about a hopeless team going sideways and an upcoming team building a championship contending core.

but i wouldn't expect you understand anything beyond the basic numbers.

you know what the problem is with guys that are always injured is?

They are always injured.

so now the sens are down to 2 good prospects.

and you know what the problem about prospects is?

most don't make it.

so 2 leaves you no room for error. at least lazar, puempel and zib are working out for you guys.

I took this thread as whose in the best situation. Other than Wingels, Pyatt and Burrows I think the future is definitely seen as brighter in Toronto. The cap space alone allows such a bevy of opportunity for Messrs Shanahan, Dubas, Hunter, Lamoreillo and Babcock.

Perhaps you need to go back and read the very beginning of this thread. Leaf fans have been saying all the same things you have been saying for a very long time. So for all these years we have listened to Leaf fans say "just wait until next year." Excuse me while I tune you out. Get back to us when to actually do something.

The irony of your post.

Sens updates. Updates on what exactly? Get back to us when you actually do something.

Leaf fans are just happy to finally be in a conversation that doesn't involve tank. Sens fans are way too self righteous to understand that. As a Hab fan I've seen the best and the worst in the last few years...coulda woulda shoulda poop the bed etc. Last place one year from 1st the year before. Meh. I think you're all a bunch of retards.

Let's talk about the scoreboard.

In the last games, how many times have the Sens been on the winning side?

To be fair, the Jackets gave the Leafs kids all they could handle. Very good team there and fully expect the two clubs to battle at the top of the Eastern Conference for many a year to come. They just couldn't cope with the skill and speed of the Leafs unfortunately. Was impressed with the D corps and forwards on the 7 minute PK. Just glad there was was Dion on that kill as we know how it would've ended. All in all, just got to love the heart and humility of this very very young team.
