No, that was Sony. Marvel Studios is what I was talking about and they started in 2008 with Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. Anything that isn't Xmen, Spiderman and Fantastic 4 is Marvel Studios.

Thankfully, they've gotten Punisher and Daredevil back, and I'm looking forward to their Netflix series' they're producing.

Raimi didn't even want Venom in the movie. He wanted it to be Sandman+Harry Goblin. Arad, a (frank)ing producer, pushed for Venom because "the best way to up the stakes is to have even more villains" and he did the same thing here with like 3 villains that are all poorly developed.

Raimi wanted to wrap up Harry and Ben's death in 3, then move to Venom in 4, Carnage in 5 and done.

AND HOW THE (frank) DO YOU NOT INCLUDE MILES MORALES AT THE END? THAT WOULD'VE BEEN PERFECT! (frank)

- DTF69

who is miles morales?

and Raimi's movies were cool in that they seemed like the old school spidey vibe. the whole venom/carnage thing didnt seem to suit his style imo.

I think he would've made it work.

Miles Morales is the alternate universe Spiderman that is a black Mexican. I honestly don't really care too terribly much for the character as I don't with most alt universes, but it would've been a perfect easter egg for fans.

*spoiler*

At the end Spidey is all emo and only goes back to fighting when the terribly written Rhino is about to pop a kid wearing a Spiderman costume. The kid is a little Latino looking dude and is named Ian or some poop and not a character in any Spiderman universe.

That poop bothers me. That is where you add extra comic to your movie, without layering it on super thick. Its something that Iron Man, Batman and Arrow have all done really well and all three of them are really good and loved by comic fans because they do those little things that buy them grace with fans to overlook other short comings.

best thing by far ive seen in that respect is Iron Man 2, when Don Cheadle shows up at the hearing and basically says to Tony and the audience... Yes i'm here, accept it and lets move on.

such a brilliant way to address an actor change.

Avi Arad is a (frank)wit.

He's the guy who ruined Spiderman 3 with Venom by forcing Raimi to include him.

Who cares if he lent some cred to Marvel studios. He (frank)ed off before they shifted out of first gear. You don't hear the investors saying things like " you know the only reason Iron Man is made is because I am the best"

He made a poopty movie that comes in barely above SM3 mainky because he haa better actors doing the terrible lines this time.

This (frank)ing filmg gets pooptier the more I think about it. I honestly don't know if its much better than X3. Its not as good as green lantern. That movie sucked and caused the already in pre production sequel to stop. I can only hope for the same.

I can only hope everything crashes and burns so hard that Sony is willing to sell back to Marvel and a studio with care csn do these films properly.

Thankfully Xmen is actually being handled well by Fox. Taking time and doing better scripts. Getting good actors. Not shoehorning in fake characters anymore. Finding away to stay true to the comics but still squeeze it into real life.

There is just such a lack of respect for the audience and the source material by Sony. They gave me hope in ASM1. They really did. But this latest movie was them throwing plot poop at the wall to appear smart and cunning but it failed and they tripped on their Richard into a pile of poop.

I don't give a (frank) about ASM3. Not going to it. They could do Carnage and I won't flinch. (frank) Sony. (frank) this movie. (frank) Arad. (frank) Spiderman

Quite frankly I find it shocking how badly you despise Snow. To me its a failure on behalf of the producers of the show as he is easily one of the most revered characters in the books IMO.

Can I PM you a MASSSSSSSSSSIVE spoiler?

I thought it was quite good except for January Jones and ugly ginger female dog Banshee.

I wouldn't say it was amazing, but I loved the chemistry and character interactions.

btw "tripped over their Richard and faceplanted into a pile of poop" is my new favourite descriptor for fails.

I liked it too. But this one is just a mess I feel. There is a lot happening, but at the same time not really.

I don't even give it the A for effort I give the first Hulk movie for trying to be better than it was. I just felt this one was messy, sloppy and painfully "by the book".

I agree about Iron Man 2 to an extent. The first is my favourite. Its amazing.

I don't know where I'd rank 2 and 3 behind 1 though. Two wasn't that bad, but it wasn't great. It was perfectly good. 3 could've been so much more, but they neutered the Mandarin so hard.

The Mandarin is Iron Man's Joker. His Carnage or Mysterio. His Darkseid. And they turned him into a punch line. But besides that its quite good and probably Shane Black's best movie I've seen. He's usually really good at making terrible characters that you don't like but he did a pretty decent job.

I'm going to write a blog tomorrow ranking all the Marvel movies post 2000 since I've seen them all. I think there is like 28. Probably going to mix in the DC ones like GL, Batmans and Watchmen.
